has anyone else noticed the dynamic in Alex & Amanda's "relationhip"? From the beginning she has acted more like a child and he has acted more like an adult. With her running around saying she couldn't do this and that or she'd "get in trouble", and then again last night/this morning with the whole fatherly scolding he gave her about playing the game and not acting like a child. Is it just me, or have you noticed it too???
I for one would love to take Joshua and show him just exactly where the door is...He does not deserve to stay in that house. "Let him/her without sin cast the first stone".... Jan, Texas
well, for awhile I've been thinking that the HGs had not watched the seasons that came before them--but now I'm thinking maybe Josh watched too many episodes of Amber, Jameka, & ED. LOL

Anyway, some things have been going through my mind. I am still disturbed by last night... all of it. There are some hard ass hypocritical people in this house. I have to say... that at least there were some kind folks in BB8. Here, not so much. Not even a Kail, who I was not a big fan off.
Some decades ago I was on this show Love Connection and I am seeing a familiar pattern with the soul mates match up. Like I was matched with a total opposite to what I like... I think this is what is going on in the house too.
Nice story... the two fatherless HGs (at least after the dad/kid theme of last year) are together... for the hope of them making it through. But soul mates?
Not so
Amanda does not date white boys, and she is paired with white boy Alex.
Jen does date all kinds of guys, and her last BF before Ryan was black... and this was a sore point with Ryan who does not believe in interracial dating. Jen gets paired with Parker (also not somebody who has dated white girls). Jen think this may be why she and Parker was paired. SMART GIRL!
Ryan who until last night, buying in to all of Sheila and Allison's crap, was a somewhat likeable guy that I said I would marry in the previous exercise. (CAN I HAVE A REDO?) He is paired with Ms Goody-she-thinks who likes Ryan, even though she finds his position on dating disgusting. Whatever...
So far no favorites... it's like politics... who do I dislike the least at this point?
Josh was matched with somebody different so not sure what that theme was... only knows he is more a vile Dustin than a sweet Will or Bunky.
Sharon... like better than yesterday day... good player. She playes and rolls with all of them.
Sheila bags on Adam constantly and then complains about Adam saying stuff... that now has him in hot weather with an Autism group calling for his apology.
Matt used Natalie and I am no longer feeling the sorry bone for that girl being used... because she may simply be playing him that way. And she struts around in underwear all the time... why complain about Amanda's BOOTY shorts? Hypocrits they are.
Who else... did I forget anybody?
Chelsia, an earlier favorite of mine... she is not as nice as they want us to think. She does the same as what she accuses Amanda off as well.
Have not followed James as much... he does crazy things... but is he mean spirited. Please fill me in.
Thought I'd share one of my theories on how a twist could play out...
Ok, just for this example, Jen & Parker are the ones that are evicted on Wednesday.
Sometime after the eviction, Neil will choose which of the 3 evicted HGs he wants as his partner, Jen, Parker or Jacob. Neil and who he chooses, let's just say Parker, will re-enter the game.
The next week, another couple is evicted and join Jacob and Jen in sequester. Let's use Matt and Natt as the example. Now Julie tells us that we will vote for 1 guest to re-enter the house. Then, who we pick will in turn pick who they want to return to the game with.
I know if it kept working this way, the number of HG would stay the same, but maybe they will bring back a couple every 2-3 weeks.
Most of these people are HORRIBLE game players. Putting your "teammate" on blast in front of the house? Throwing alliance members under the bus? The only thing many of these people know how to do well is dig their own graves.
Eck.
This is also the ugliest (physically and personality-wise) Big Brother house ever. The forced (handicapping) couples twist had this season on a short leash with me already. Having only a few people that I'd even remotely care to watch further (something that's understandable when the cast is down to like 6-8 people, not 14-16), makes my early exit as a viewer all that much more likely.
Bring on BB10.
Wow... this show has gotten really explosive over the last few years. I remember when I thought Hurricane Howie was bad!
Last year my sister and I said that with someone like Dick in the house getting away with the things he did, the next season would be even worse. We were right.
However, I agree with some other people in another thread who said as soon as you enter the BB House - NOTHING is off limits. NOTHING. This is a game... this is reality... this is 16 *beautiful* people locked in a house all trying to get the $$$$. Even more so, trying to get discovered.
I'm a fan of Amanda/Alex and Chelsia/James (go figure). I do not feel bad for Amanda. I do not agree with what Josh said. I don't think Chelsia meant what it seemed she meant when she said that about the noose.
This game is not about being nice. It's about doing what you have to do to be the last one standing. I think a lot of us forget that. That is also why I would never, ever be on this show. I would not be able to handle it. I'd be eaten alive.
I've been watching BB since it came on the air (Season 1). It "seems" to me it has gone from a strategic/mental game to more of a mean "I'll get to to you first game". Of course I know that's part of the "mental aspect".
While I realize these people sign up for all and KNOW they can be subjected to this type of behavior (I mean we all witnessed the Dick/Jen/Amber & Whoever else he chose to target)....it takes a tough person to go in there and withstand the potential "abuse".
Please do not get me wrong, I do NOT condone anyone's actions....I am simply stating that we have to remember they all signed up for this KNOWING beforehand they may be subjected to ridicule. And once you put "personal" info out there, strangers (you might think these people are your friends) will use it againtst you in the most vilest way :( Let's not forget they are there to "win"
$500G in the end. And it will get even uglier before it gets prettier.
I think the producers of CBS hit a low mark with this one though. While trying to "Top" the all time ratings of BB8, this has turned into more of a trainwreck...
I'm sorry I just cannot stand Amanda at all and I just want her out. Although I do like all the fighting because it is fun to enjoy and I love Alex so I don't know maybe iIdo want them to stay. I have mixed feelings about all this all I know is I do not like Amanda and havn't from day one. She just rubs me the wrong way. Alright I jsut had to get that out.
Absolutely.....It took about 3 seconds to load versus about 45 seconds. That did the trick. Thanks for all you do.

I've thought about this twist thing as well and don't think it's over with. Here's my theory.
I think Neil was offered a deal to cash out. Say they brought him in and said "Here's $25K. You take it and leave the game, or we're going to bring someone else into the DR and offer it to them. Eventually one of the HGs will accept the deal and you'll have lost your chance." Obviously Neil accepted.
This week, Jen and Parker will be gone. Sometime after that, the DR will bring someone else in and offer them the same deal. Someone will accept, and their partner will have to choose among Jacob, Parker, and Jen as their replacement.
If this is the twist, it could get pretty interesting depending on who gets offered and who accepts a buy-out. I could see the DR trying to get Jen or Parker back into the game with a soul mate that could be favorable for them (Ryan for Jen, Amanda for Parker).
Joshua was way out of line...I think the whole thing was blown up into more it needed to me--but it made for great tv! Amanda annoys me and needed to be called out---but where did Joshua come into play? What did she do to him--in my opinion he really hurt his partner for showing himself to be a loose cannon!!!
I have a question though--I don't have feeds (it would ruin my life I would be too obsessed!) But I watch after dark and check the blogs regularly. WHAT did Jen do that was racist??? FILL ME IN!!!
Jakey, Jen tried to convince Shelia and some other people that Ryan had a problem with her being partnered with a Black guy because he's a racist. She did this hoping it would get him booted out instead of her.
I'm also tired of Amanda, but agree that what Josh said was out of line. He was rude, and obnoxious.
I didn't/haven't read the transcript about what Chelsia said, but someone told me she had said something along the lines of, "You just hanged yourself in this competition" and I don't think she meant to offend/mock Amanda's fathers death.

Jen was talking to Sheila a few days ago and mentioned she thought the BBs theory to partner her with Ryan is the fact that he used to be very sensitive with her and black guys because her BF before Ryan... Jimmy was black. Ryan does not agree with interracial dating and this was an issue at the time. Sheila flew off the handle and said that not only is Jen racist... but she also threw her BF Ryan under the bus for saying this out loud.
I happen to think Jen is right with the reason for her match with Parker. And I don't think she is racist... and I can't judge Ryan. Many people don't like interracial dating.

I THINK that Amanda COULD have a thing called histrionic personality disorder. So y'all know, I am NOT a doctor, psych, or counseler, I am just stating my observations/opinions.

My purpose is not to be mean. While I do not really like or care for Amanda, I am trying to understand her. I am beginning to wonder if a lot of her actions, issues, antics and conversations are because of a disorder that she can't control very easily.
I know the other HGs have their own issues, as do I.

This season seems rather "surreal" to me. At times I think that CBS is pulling a twist/joke on us and I keep waiting for them to tell us "Gotcha, we hired them all to play the parts and fool ya!"

Your theory crossed my mind as well. But I wonder how many times the BB Gods could cover up "buying" out one of the guests and have to explain why they are gone without getting the other HGs suspicious, which we know doesn't take much with this paranoid, volatile group.
I guess 2-3 Family emergencies and/or DORs could happen before it would be too obvious.
All I know is that I KNOW something crazy is gonna happen and I can't wait to find out!! And until I do I will be excited, anxious, & curious and my mind will be concocting theories!!

Ok - I just wanted to make a few comments after watching after dark last night... I despise Josh! What a heartless person! And anyone who watches the feeds... Did Alex really try anything like that w/ Amanda? And did she ever use the word rape? Because from what I saw - Josh was the one who threw that word out there not Amanda. And from what I saw it looked like while Amanda was in the DR she was getting blamed for EVERYTHING! Even stuff that others were in on! I feel really bad for her!

I would just point out that if (like Ryan) you have a "problem" with interracial dating (of other people's interracial dating), uh, news flash... you're a racist.
I mean, if that's not racist, what the hell is?
Ryan keeps talking about all of his black friends at home... but if these "friends" dated a white person, he would have a problem with it? That's racist, end of story.
