Big Brother House Versus Amanda
The mother of all Big Brother Brawls began at 10:15pm BBT. As I write, it is 2:50am BBT, and the skirmishes are still in play. A couple minutes ago, it was Jen vs Ryan, which would be surprising, but not tonight. Now we have another full blown shouting match, between Sheila and Jen, with interjections from Ryan, over racism.

The entire house is coming down HARD on Amanda, lead by Chelsia and flamed by Joshuah, who just called her a slew of horrible names.
If you've got the feeds, I strongly recommend you fire them up right now!
OMG.. This is the ugliest display I've ever seen on Big Brother.
They are doing their level best to denegrate this girl and humiliate her to the point of DOR.
And completely out of nowhere.
Chelsia I could understand, but Josh??
Josh was so livid, out of nowhere, he looked like he was going to punch her.

No matter your opinion of Amanda, you've got to hand it to the girl... She held up incredibly well under that hateful assault.

Wow! I'm so glad I got the live feeds. I'm glad that Chelsia stood up for her and her partner. I think Alex is great for confronting her in front of anyone else as well. However, I don't agree with Joshua's tactics. It was hilarious when Chelsia pulled down her pants and acted like Amanda running around with her butt hanging out!

while I have been finding Amanda more and more annoying the past few days and I suspected things were gonna come back and bite her in the butt (In fact, about 30 minutes before it all blew up, I told my son as much) I am REALLY blown away by how volatile and mean-spirited her come-uppance became. And I am REALLY disappointed in how vicious Joshuah was towards her -- and I am not quite sure why HE is THAT pissed at her?
I thought the comment about Amanda's dad was the worst thing ever. I even got teary-eyed watching her cry. I realize this is a game, but still...these are real people. Im not sure if I glad I got the live feeds this season or not...wow.
That comment about Amanda's father was WAY out of line, but she was really out of line in all other respects. She just can't keep her stories straight; that doesn't stop me from feeling horrible about how she was ganged up on.
However, I've seen worse. Does Dick attacking Jameka's religion and dumping iced tea on Jen's head ring a bell? How about the tirade Nick unleashed on Jen after all of THAT drama?
The thing that puts it over the top is the "like her dad" comment. Just tasteless.

I just think Amanda's game play is NOT as good as she thinks it is and the way she has been going around 'playing' everyone was bound to catch up to her sooner or later.

i am this close to giving up on this season.. to many heartless people... there's playing a game, and then telling someone till kill themselves the same way as their father did.. thats so not playing the game.
I completely understand why the house is so annoyed with her. Chelsia was right to call her out, in retrospect though, a little discrepency in doing so may have been better practice. I do agree with the whole thing that chelsia said about "don't tell people 'this is what bothers me' because they can use it against you" thing. it's a game. what you bring into the house as your weakness is fair game. As far as josh though. I just don't understand how calling her a horse and telling her to go back to the stable has ANYTHING to do with game play. it doesn't matter how someone looks. he just wanted to hurt her that's all. In my opinion, that is just as brutal as if he were to have hit her. i can see doing things like what chelsia did tonight to throw her off her game or throw the lean of the house in the other direction, but bringing someone's physical appearance into the equasion is irrelevant. NO MATTER HOW SHE DRESSES! Hell, I'd take her body over mine any day. She's young! She is learning a very hard life lesson tonight. I only hope she doesn't drop out and sticks this through.

I feel sorry for Amanda. So its fine for Chelsia to wear a thong in the hot tub and show Neil her breasts, but come down on Amanda for the way she dresses....sounds like a double standard to me. I think they BOTH were WAY WAY WAY outta line and judgmental...what gives them the right...what gives ANYONE the right with the way they ALL act in the BB house?
And then talking about Amandas father, and using truly tasteless and revolting comments to shake her. THAT WAS NOT GAME PLAY! That was completely uncalled for and I hope it comes back to bite them in their collective arses. Karmas a "WHAT"?

i think the nuse comment was meant to imply that she has pretty much hung herself game wise. i heard how it was said, and i didn't get (except for josh) that it was for her to kill herself. chelsia didn't imply that. josh did but that shouldn't be placed in connection with chelsia. i happen to agree with that too though that amanda has pretty much hung herself in the game. it's over.

I think what Josh just did is worse than anything Evel ever did last year. I have never seen such long and lasting verbal assault on one person with so many people watching without doing anything.
I think Josh should leave soon, Nat not far after, Cheslia can pack her bags too. The only person that somewhat is telling them to back off is Parker.

I know how much you hated Evel going off on your girl Jen last year. Most women I know (and listening to Amanda) don't take comments like C... and whatever else too personally. The same thing about looks. Jen was a strong competitor.
What is extremely wrong and over the line is when one uses the horrible acts of incest and 'jokes' about somebody's parent having committed suicide suggesting for the person to do the same. OVER THE LINE!
I must be the only person in America who still thinks that Amanda is absolutely adorable!

WOW, Some serious stuff going on tonight. It's been over 2 hours and they are still all worked up over this. How will Amanda survive. And she really did call him a rapist. What will they do about that? I'm pretty sure BB knows all that she has been up to. She was in the DR for a long time. Will Alex sleep with her tonight? I think Alex got the short end of the stick having to be partnered with her. He is doomed if he cant fix what she has created.

Carolyn - this afternoon on the feeds she said it to Parker and I (think) it was Chelsia. She started out by saying she was uncomfortable with what he did to her. I'm just learning how to record so I hopefully will catch some stuff like that for my youtube. But she did say that She felt like Alex was trying to rape her. She did not accuse him thought. She shouldn't have used the word rape. She didn't think before she spoke. That was her mistake.(that still doesnt give them the right to crucify her) I'm sure l000's of feed watcher heard it. I know of 2 others that heard the same thing.

I never have found Amanda adorable. I kind of liked her a bit in the beginning when I thought she and Alex had genuine feelings for each other, but as it became clear that she was just leading him on and as each day she seemed to let HoH go more and more to her head, I really started disliking her more. She is gossipy and I don't like that about her OR little miss Natalie. Now Chelsia is on my 'gotta go' list, too. Actually, I'm having a hard time picking a favorite this season...I'm not really lovin' any of these people. Shallow, shallow, shallow the lot of them!

Some people are saying they think Amanda is making the story about her dad up. It's not a story to make up. My friend's Ex Husband and father of her two lovely kids came back from Iraq... and due to depression and PTSD... he killed himself too... two years ago. This is nothing one 'makes up'. It's not a joke. Many of "our soldiers' come home with little help to deal with life after war.
I am sorry but it is ok for amanda to say alex touched her in her sleep, we all know that is not true. She has crossed the line more then Josh. She got what was coming to her. You come into the house telling lies and it will come back on you. She is lucky Josh is the only one who got on her. Her dad hung himself that is sad but Alex did nothing to her and she told eveyone he did that to her. Where is the justice in that. He is her partner to back stab him like that. She is not the smartest person to play this game, she was tring to get people not to like him, but if he gets put up for his fake actions so does she. dumb. i don't feel sorry for her at all. I feel sorry for alex.
I really liked Parker in the beginning, but I am so sick of his whining. The poor me attitude is just getting on my last nerve. He's screwed because of this and f'ed because of that, I'm just done hearing it. I was rooting for Ryan and Allison to go home, but I'm sick of Parker and want him gone.
I have to say that having a cast that is this young is just not that funny anymore. Like last year, it's not amusing watching immature people getting hurt because they do not realize how certain actions will come back and hit them in the ass.

There was a conversation with Amanda and Alex where she said "everyone on big brother wears booty shorts, I thought that's what you are supposed to do." I'm paraphrasing. It was like a little kind trying to fit it. I have to agree with what Shelia said on the show, Amanda is very young, not a good game player, and wants to be liked. Yes, she is irritating, but she's not "slutty," just trying her best to use what she sees as her assets. It's a bit sad and pathetic, her insecurity comes off as arrogrance.
It does not justify anything that went on. She was an easy target to dump on - in large part by her own doing - but she was a scapegoat. Besides, a lot of the things she has said happen to be true. I'm not her fan, I just want to point out that all of America doesn't hate her booty shorts. Some of us see a misguided young woman bowing to what she sees as sociatal pressure. Sad, but not disgusting.
I happen to think Josh is an ass, too. But that's besides the point.

I don't think what they did to her was any worse than what ED did last season. We all knew he was setting a horrible example with his tactics--and here it is. ED said some horrible things last season and there were plenty of times while I was watching that I was afraid he was going to hit someone. Carolyn, you said the difference was ED was game playing and Josh was pure rage, well, I saw what ED did as rage last season. I guess that's all about the perception.
I hate that I miss all of this while sleeping. I'm central time and that sucks. I can only imagine how it is for you Carolyn. I love this crazy house! I think all is fair in BB land. I know Amanda was being to yappy and should have watched what she said to whom and that it was eventually gonna come back and bite her in the butt, but freaking NATALIE started this whole thing. Had she kept her damned CHERI OTERI looking ass shut and not go from the hot tub to the girls doing nails and yapping her freaking trap about what Amanda had just said about any of them, it would not have gone this far.
Josh was INCREDIBLY wrong to say that stuff. And Where the HELL was Natalie when they were all commiserating around the table afterwards? She was NO WHERE TO BE SEEN.
I felt sorry for Amanda at one point because they were all like a pack of wolves coming towards her. And Parker- ha! Trying to get into her pants for weeks and he couldn't even console her or even try to tell everyone to chill out? No one did. No one helped her, for the most part ALLISON helped calm her down in the house when she was sobbing and lost it.
Just nuts. FOR ONCE Natalie wasn't TALKING the entire night and it's because she started this whole entire meltdown.

Big Brother 9 so far this season I would classify as a big train wreck, but I just can't look away. Yet, I am not enjoying it.
I will reevaluate the feeds at the end of this week, before the free 2 weeks runs out. This is making Jerry Springer look like high class TV!
It's as if Big Brother 9 is self destructing in front of our very own eyes. I hope Alex is right, and that they go to individual play after this next eviction.
It's time for the Producers to step up, take a stand, and show a little class by fixing the problem they created. If they don't, I'm afraid the next step will be the cannibalizing of each other by the House Guests..

There was no reason for Josh to says such things. Chelsia was so
horrid. She says she wanted it to be calm. Yet, she is the one who seemed to be looking for a fight.

Dick was who he was and made it clear. He often acted alone when
bashing someone. I didn't like what he did-but at least it made sense game-wise.

I don't think it is right that we choose to judge one, but not another, pretty hypocritical if ya ask me. Dick was just "playing the game" when applying his verbal assaults. But, he has won the game and is out of the house, yet he is STILL verbally attacking many of the HGs from his season. But it's ok, he is real and just "tells it like it is".
Oh WOW.... I don't even know what to say. I don't have the live feeds (I want them... but I KNOW that it would consume me... and with a 3 and 4 year old to deal with on a daily basis.... I think you can understand why). that being said, I'm not sure why there is such hatred by the houseguests of Amanda. Busy body, shows too much body, blabber mouth.... at some point and time couldn't you pin one (or all) of those descriptions onto any of those other female houseguests. Maybe not to the extent of Amanda, but seriously!
I felt so bad for her! Standing there being RAILED at by all these people with not one person saying... hey, you're out of line! I say it again- the parents of these "kids" must be so proud of the display that they are showing for the live feeds! It's really, really, sad!

I, too, was shocked by this display, but truthfully, as much as Amanda runs her mouth to everyone I would have to say she had it coming to her. Maybe not as explosive, but that is what happens when people hold it inside and then snap. I know that I have said things in my life that I did not mean and wish I could immediately take back...I am by no means defending their actions but I have to agree with anonymous at 11:34. I think Chelsia meant that she (Amanda) has sunk her own boat, I don't believe (or I suppose don't want to believe) that she meant for Amanda to kill herself. With Josh's comment, I think he has pretty much hung himself (gamewise).
On the matter of dress, I understand "if you got it, flaunt it", but does it really have to be falling out? I ask this question everyday...not just on the show.
There is definitely no lack of drama this season.

Wow--I too slept through it--dang. I totally am with Cliff though--how is what ED did last season not the same-?-I always hear the game-play excuse and not real anger. I think that ED is a really angry person and not much of what he says is very pleasant. I also enjoyed watching him and think that if you're signing up for a show like this you should expect some criticism/attacks from others--about your personal life, looks, etc. You should know what you're getting into and thicken up that skin.
I agree that Josh seemed full of rage and what he said about her father was horrid. I also feel that part of his engaging in the tirade was game play. Especially when he goes inside and laughs with Allison. I'm sure he'll apologize to her as Chelsia did.

In no way am I defending Josh for saying all that. It was pretty crazy and totally out of the blue. I do however, think that his anger probably stemed from sitting in the hot tub with her night after night listening to her lies. I think he just blew. The comment about the nuse was really wrong and I felt so sorry for her after that. I was actually a little worried that she would hurt herself. I am definitly not a fan of Amanda but you have to give her props for coming out of the DR the way she did; head heald high, smiles, and goodnights to all. Oh, this house, these people, this game!
I lost ALL respect this Josh guy after he said that about Amanda's dad... in addition I actually found my self tearing up when Amanda broke down in the kitchen I could almost feel how much that shook her to the bone... I think amanda is one of the more Real People in the house. and you can see it in that moment especially. I felt so bad for her....
Actually the whole thing rememinded me on how I felt watching Dick and Jen fighting about the cigarette. There was a point during both fights that I thought someone outside of the show should have been called in to mediate. Things got a little scary for a moment and I am glad it didn't escalate. BB9 is a train wrek as someone mentioned before. It all started when Jen told her secret. Why she did this I will never know, it's gotta be one of the stupidest BB moves in history.
It seems like for this season of BB the casting crew went out to find the 14 most repulsive, disgusting, self-centered pieces of s*** in America. Nobody on this cast knows how to play the game whatsoever. What strategy have we seen so far? 95% of the decisions made thus far have been completely emotional.
P.S... Carolyn I mentioned to my wife about 1/2 way through the main tirade, "Oh, the ladies of the Dish must be poppin' no doze and drinking Red Bull right now... it's gonna be a looooong night for them!" :)
First off, just gotta say I love those sayings jessie, lol.
I do admit that Joshuah was someone I liked in the beginning, but he's kinda falling down on the likeness scale. Then again, anything and everything you bring into the Big Brother house (it seems like this house more so) can and will be used against you in a court of, well...Big Brother. I just wanna clarify that I am not approving of what Joshuah said, but Amanda put it out there...he was just crazy enough to use it. [Not placing blame on Amanda here.] Eesh!
Also, I do not think we should be coming down on Chelsia here. Amanda was battling against her in the conversation and I could see that she was trying her hardest to get her point of view in. I believe her "noose" comment was in no way an attack to Amanda's father...Joshuah decided to make that so though.
I think we all need a good nap and a few hours away from Big Brother. I'm going shopping; I recommend everyone else do something other than Big Brother for right now, lol! Thanks again for staying up till the wee hours of the morning Carolyn!

I hate this season of big brother. The entire cast is childish. I hope things change because BB is my all time favorite show but as of yet I'm not overly interested like I usually am.
Joshuah is just complete scum. I agree, it was totally uncalled for. Chelsia as well. Then almost all of them were laughing at what Joshuah said and it was justice? No it was not. Amanda was right chelsia could have just pulled her aside and brought to the matter. Kind of hypocritical of Chelsia when that is how she wants to play her "game".
I like Amanda. I still do. She may not understand the game as a couple but I think she is starting to get it. I read on jokers she told Alex she was all ears and no mouth and then she gave him a kiss on the cheek and then to bed. I think they can work things out.
Hopefully so this whole fight will die down. Im really hoping Amanda can redeem herself. I still am pulling for Amanda and Alex. Some of the other houseguests are shedding some good light towards me like Allison. I found it heartwarming when she was consoling Amanda. i agree with her too, Where was her supposed friends Jen and Nat?!
Ahhh what a night it was. Hopefully today is a little more nice. Josh better not start more crap.

There are several differences between this explosion and the Dick/Jen confrontation:
Everyone already knew Dick was a wild card and had already seen his game and demeanor. Josh came out of NOWHERE, with crazy venom and outright hatred.
The Dick/Jen confrontation was just between the two of them. Other people were there, but just watched, kind of in shock. In this case, it was Chelsia after Amanda and Josh just went off in a vicious tirade. The rest of the houseguests laughed and by doing so, it seemed that they were ALL against Amanda.
Jen usually gave as good as she got in a fight (she was the one who got physical, Dick was just protecting himself.) Amanda really didn't do much, other than a few weak protests. She never responded in kind during the argument; she was more confused and shocked than hostile.
Dick always had a game strategy to his tirades. He always got wild for a reason. Josh seemed to have no clear strategic reason. Yes, everyone wants Amanda out now, but they didn't need Josh going off to accomplish that. Josh just seems to be a hater.
What is wrong with these people? There attacks on Amanda were very disgusting and unnecessary. Everyone in the BB house gossips.
It seem like Josh was just throwing things in there on the fly. And getting mad at Amanda for gossiping is ridiculous when everyone in the house is doing it. I almost felt like this was a way to set up Amanda and Alex to get them nominated.
Okay, it did get out of hand last night. I'm watching the showtime right now, and freaking out. It was hilarious up until the noose. I believe Chelsia when she said she didn't think about it. Josh, that was malicious. Knowing this house though, things like that always come back to haunt you. Keep your outside life as separate as you can. from the house.
I'm with Alex on this, if Amanda keeps down that path he is going to get screwed. It sounds arcane, but he needs to find a way to quell her.

Speak for yourself. If someone called me that, I would be extremely upset. EXTREMELY upset. It is one of the most derogatory, misogynistic words a person could use against a woman and the fact that people accept it as "not a big deal" just shows their attitude toward women.
Of course, if any of those yahoos in the house called me that, I'd just consider the source, because none of them seems to have an IQ above their shoe size, and probably don't realize that calling someone that is any worse than calling them a jerk.
I am soooo late to this, but I can not BELIEVE Chelsia and Josh said that. Then Chelsia tries to justify by saying what she "didn't" say. But ya know what, she put that out there.
In my eyes, after watching this, Chelsia and Josh have done more damage than Amanda could have ever done. Which, by the way, I still don't know what the hell Amanda actually did.
What? She talked behind people's backs? Really? Isn't that what EVERYONE does on this show? Isn't that what everyone does in real life? Isn't that what we on this blog are doing now? I don't get the effing hypocrisy here. Sorry. I just don't.
