Heads up everyone. Josh is planning a severe attack on Sheila for tonight on the live feeds and/or tomorrow during the live show. He plans to attack her son, and he's warning the others to expect it... though he's not saying who it will be or specifying what. Just that it's going to be very bad.

Josh has it figured out. Right before the HoH comp, he's going to tell Sheila and Natalie that which ever one of them wins HoH is going to have either their son or their mother destroyed on national television and for the upcoming week on the feeds. So, it's up to them to decide which is more important: the HoH or their loved ones?
Josh sticks his head outside, just for intimidation purposes... Comes back and tells Chelsia and James how afraid Sheila is of him.

There's no single reason Josh has it in for Sheila. The summary version is that Sheila has been gunning for him, and Josh knows it, and Josh's whole alliance knows that Sheila is (doing a really poor job of) playing both sides, and has been for quite a while. In addition, pretty much everyone is sick of Sheila's use of her son to deflect criticism away from her, and they're sick of hearing her whine in general. She's made herself a nuisance, and Josh has appointed himself the bouncer.
I think Sheila whines more than Amber and Jen (from last season) combined! That god she doesn't actually cry as much!
These houseguests have me so confused. I'm trying to live my life and keep up with them. Who is the man of the hour getting voted out tomorrow? Are we still on for Matt? or has it swung back to Ryan? or is it just going to see how the 'plan' works or backfires on them?
The conversation between Sheila and Nat is so odd. They don't get the whole concept of insults. You have to attack a person on what hurts them, not you. I just don't think Nat calling Josh "Nancy" and telling him church won't take him back is going to do the intended damage.
They really aren't the brightest bulbs.

Josh - is a piece of trash. He plays a good game, but his attacks go WAYYYYYYYYY to far. "But Biskit, Dick did the same thing last year." I call BS on THAT!! He did NO such a thing!! Its like comparing apples and oranges. Josh's attacks are more personal than should be. From a father's suicide, to a mother's mental illness, to bringing someones kid in the game, is just WAY TO FAR!! He's a smug little man who needs to go, QUICKLY!!

I really don't know what to think because I ABSOUTELY LOVED DICK last season and he had the most viscous personal attacks.

I am a fan of Josh. I do love him and find him entertaining. I do however have a problem with him bringing Sheila's son and Nat's mom into this, just like he did Amanda's dad. I think its wrong. You know, I was so disgusted with Josh in the beginning - but they are all such asshol*s, he just doesn't offend me the way he used to. It's hard to pitty Sheila and Nat. Sure, Josh's blows are low, they are childish, mean, hurtful, all those things. But at least they are direct. People can fight back. The Sheila and Nat delusion about being "good people" has become equally offensive to me. And the way Sheila uses her kid as a shield is by far the worst thing any of them do. She holds that kid out there in front of her to protect her, and instead he gets hit. She does it over and over. It's so painful to watch.

But I loved it then and I love it now, seriously these people sign up for this, and I for one love watching them squirm. He's not as good as EvelDick, but hey its better than watching Natalie blab on about being a good person as shes giving Matt another bj.

I also wonder how Josh's co-workers are going to feel about working with him after this. I wouldn't want to work with him knowing how explosive he is. And I would have serious second thoughts about doing business with a company that have an employee like that on their staff.
Carolyn..does it really surprise anyone that josh attacks women in the house? What I love is that the CLAN(james,josh,chel,sharon) have only succeeded in making Sheila @ Natalie all the more stronger..i think Josh/James have made MONUMENTAL mistake believing their mean words and threats would work..it took awhile but from what i can tell they only have caused 2 women to be angry,tired,and unafraid to stand up...i have no respect for josh and i dont know why he thinks his family would be proud of his words/behaviour? No I am not joking and you just PROVED my point, he attacked THEM, not their families or children. He kept it "in the game". Yes, Dick was brutal to a fault, but never brought this kind of lowness to his hostility.

I don't understand why people love the vicious personal attacks. It's one thing to be a smart-ass, to be witty, and to still throw a few punches. It might not be everyone's favorite strategy, but it works. It won't work on everyone though. Remember when Matt got in Joshua's face right after the veto meeting last week? Josh didn't blink or flinch.

ED attacked the person IN THE HOUSE -- not their family outside the house. Now, if he went off on Sheila making the point that Sheila is a 'bad mom' because she is bring harm to her son by using him as a shield (GREAT point, Jane) that would be closer to how Dick might go about it. Do you see? It shines a light on HER mistake/weaknesses without actually attacking her son. I really wish people could see the difference. Not saying Dick's attacks didn't hurt like hell, but the target were the houseguests and the weapons were their own actions and words...what Josh has been doing is very different.

So is anyone truly/honestly surprised that someone in the house is trying to re-create evel dick? It worked last season so of course someone in there this season is going to try and copy that. The problem is Josh is doing it all wrong. Evel would blow up when he'd get to a certain point of annoyance, Josh is PLANNING his blow ups, Evel was insanely honest to everyone in the house and very blunt about everything, and Josh is a deceitful critter who lies almost every chance he gets.

For those wondering why he's planning this attack. It's pretty simple to me. He knows that if either Sheila or Gnat (oops, sorry) wins HOH they're going to do everything within their power to get him evicted.
What he's saying is if one of them wins then he's going to make their last week with him pure hell. It's a tactic to try and force them to throw HOH. And it just might work, they already think he's nuts enough to do it - and he is! LOL
As far as bringing family into this and saying he has no right to attack them using it...
They're the ones giving out the ammo, especially when Sheila keeps bring up her son over and over again. Then over and over again tells them not use that against her saying it's not fair to him. Is that fair of her? She can use him for protection but he's off-limits to others in the game. I think not.
I'm sure all these people are great individuals outside the game. But in the game they're all fair play no matter how dirty it gets. And if you stupidly and continually hand out ammo to be fired back at ya - well then, you should be shot with it.
Josh is pretty reserved on the info about himself that he divulges. There's a reason for that.

It is a game, right? They are supposed to WHATEVER it takes to keep them in the game, right? Put yourselves in the exact same position these people are, trying to win half a mill and I wonder if most of you wouldn't do something similar. Not one of us knows what we would do and I don't think it's fair to judge these people reactions or gameplans to win this money.
I totally agree he's a bastard. That's not the point. That Josh is horrendous does not change the fact that Sheila and Natalie continually set themselves and their families up for ridicule - not to mention that they are hypocrites and are vicious in their own ways.

As I watch all the happenings in the house, my brain is on two tracks most of the time. The most prominent one is all the stuff I comment about--who should win, who I dislike, etc. Then there's the minor track that keeps popping up...
These houseguests are in a nice house with nice amenities. I'm sure it would anger the producers, but wouldn't it be cool if they just used it as a chance to relax, enjoy, and get to know some new people?? Only one of them is going to win, but the drama and intrigue could be reserved for the times and places carved out for it (ceremonies and competitions). I can't say would I would do (though I know I'd never agree to be on such a show), but I just keep thinking thoughts like this. Really, what if they just decided to ditch the BS? They've got food and a big table; plan a meal then cool and eat together. Sauna or hot tub, then a nice shower, and slip into bed. I probably sound like a wanna-be John Lennon here, and I guess it would make for bad television, but oh well...

That was Season 1, and it was extremely boring. To the point where I don't even remember the HGs or winners of that season, let alone anything that happened.

I do think Josh is going a bit overboard, but let's not lose track of the fact that Sheila (and Natalie) have been talking trash and throwing their Bible behind his back for the past 24 hours. Josh hasn't gone Shelia all night. Her fears and "eggshells" are all in her head and she's loving the attention and perceived screen time. Josh is loving the screen time too. They're both *equally* at fault in this ongoing tirade.
Here's the thing...
These people signed up for a reality show that films them 24/7.
They signed waivers protecting CBS against defamation of family members. That probably didn't include outsiders which is why the flames come on when anyone mentions someone not in their family.
If you don't want it talked about, don't tell anyone! Shelia plays the victim and mentions her son 30 times a day. How can she think it won't come back to haunt her?

Biskit; testicular fortitude has nothing to with what Josh is doing or what Dick has done. It's just plane DISRESPECT. I didn't like Dick, but he played the game. HOWEVER, Dick crossed the line burning Jen with a cigarette. I think that should have been call for his immediate dismissal. It's no wonder Josh is trying to up the anti, It got Dick the win.
I've seen Dick on HouseCalls talking about it, and he doesn't think Josh is doing a very good job.

Look everyone, we know this is a game. Every year we love to hate and hate to love, but we are not in the house. We really don't know what we would do as some others have said.
Now my points and questions...
What is with he 5' rule. This has never been in play before. I think Grodner & Gang are being unfair on this one. Everyone knows any physical violence is reason for immediate expulsion from the house. So many talk about Josh not standing up to the men because he is afraid of them and knows they would beat his ass. Whoever throws that first punch is out. No question. That is the one constant BB rule.
Attacks on family? When you sign up for this game you are signing up your whole life and any talk about things in your personal life leaves it open for ammunition against you. Remember, Amber talked about her past last year and Dick used it against her to break her. He did that to everyone, but more particularly the women.
Each player has their own game plan, and none is better than the other player's plan. It all depends on who we like best what we want to see happen.
But as long as there is no physical violence anything goes in this game and they all know that. Brings me back to my question of the 5' rule that seems to only apply to Joshuah. Why is it there and is it fair? If he makes physical contact he surely knows he would be out the door immediately. Why was it ok for Dick to get close enough to people last year to pour iced tea on them and not for Joshuah to just get in their face. Getting in someone's face is a tactic to break someone. I doubt very few of us here and reading and watching this for the entertainment value haven't done the same thing with the in your face tactic at some point in our lives. We may be ashamed of it, but we have done it. Even me, and I'm not a violent person at all.

You both, together, have voiced nearly 100% of the issues I have with Sheila and which I posted in an earlier post (which, because I made an uninformed choice and posted it in an inappropriate section, was not published). This woman has been driving me to the brink of insanity for weeks now.
Her continually using her son as protection from the other HGs' negative thoughts about her is one of the most cowardly ploys I've seen used in this psychological game called Big Brother.
Glad to see I'm not alone in my complete disgust of the way she is "using" her son. That poor kid, although I'm sure he loves his mother, must have had a very trying childhood -- trying to explain something to somebody whose palm is always in your face while saying "hear me out" and "look at me" is extremely difficult. (Yes, that is personal experience talking.)

My main psychological difference is that Josh seems to be the Puff Daddy of ED, remixing what he already made and trying to add his own "bling" if you will (i know, its corny) by sharpening the sword and going even more for shock factor.
The problem with this as, it appears too rehearsed and he tries to over-compensate by attacking things he, and any sane human knows is way off-limits. He is doing it on purpose.
I would even argue he would rarely ever do this in real life but has already made this super-Josh TV 'personality' up and is going deep into.
Gleefully avoiding the moral implications of 'acting' so terribly and its after-effects...i'd rather focus on its effectiveness. I thought his attacks on Amanda were effective right at first when he was in the hot-tub...he almost re-iterated Chelsia's beef and seemed protective...but then he went so far he turned Amanda into a victim...which she almost parlayed into guilt (sadly even a hospital visit couldn't shake enough pity out of the other HGs.)
So not only are these diatribes ingenuine in their emotion, they can easily have reverse effect. Also- taking into account the law of diminishing returns (aka- people will get sick of him doing it) he will only be used as cover by better players as a target until someone finally gets him out.
I see him having negative zero chances of winning unless he has an overly whiny partner in the game that draws the ire of everyone like Danielle was to ED...wait that sounds like someone...

Evil Dick set the tone last year about being brutal to other house guest before competetions. Last year it was appaulded and a great move on his part.
Once again it just proves that some people can't handle power and Josh is one of those people. It usually comes back to bite them in the ass and my guess it's going to happen to Josh.
I don't have any favorites this year because all these people are horrible. They think that intimidating of the other houseguest is a strategy.
My guest is that Josh is going to take it too far and get booted from the house.
A real strategy would be to cast doubt between, Natalie, Shelia and Adam, because Ryan is working with Josh.
This is why Sharon is sitting pretty. She has not been a part of the hostility on either sided. She can set back and watch the others rip each other apart.

I have a question. How will Josh attack Sheila "about" her kid? I've heard a couple of references to her kid having disabilities and last night Josh said something about her getting a monthly check from the government. Does anyone know the story behind this? Josh said he got the info from Allison.
I think Josh doing this is just wrong ,cus no one has played his Crazy card ,I think if production allows him to keep personally attacking them and start outside the house on family that is plain sad to allow him to do.I think he should be dissmissed automaticly, or the Families should sue Josh and Production for allowing him to maintain this attitude.

That said, after reading it all, the one point that sticks out, is what Jane said about the waiver to be talked about on the show.
If Sheila really didn't want her son brought into it, why did she/he (I am assuming she had to sign it, since he is a minor) sign the waiver, allowing him to be talked about at all??
To me, the game is fun to watch when the HG's are all paranoid and there is lots of scheming going on...ie. the backdooring of James, the ruse to get Matt out etc.
Josh's personal attacks aren't what it should be about. Their families aren't "playing the game", why should they be brought into it?
I think if BB allows it, it is just going to get worse and worse every season. Josh is taking pages out of Dick's playbook and elaborating on them. In a bad way.

These constant comparisons between Joshuah and ED are entertaining! As you have said, alongside a few others, ED's attacks were on the HG's, THEIR parenting skills, THEIR drug use, THEIR BS, not the actual children, mothers. fathers etc.
People still cannot differentiate between the two which is the most entertaining part of the entire argument if you ask me, cause they're just not going to get it, believe me.
In ED's season, let it be noted the "not mean" people, you know the ones that would NEVER dream of being as evil as him, were the very ones laughing and joking as they flat out accused and commented about incest between a father & daughter........enough said.
