POV DAY!!
I think Adam made a good play with his nominations.
James is obviously better in the "back-against-the-wall, crunchtime, do-or-die" situations than he is in other contests that don't have such serious implications. He's good in POVs, not so much HOHs (where the stakes don't seem so immediately huge). By leaving him off the block, it gives him some hope that if he doesn't win POV, that maybe he can still bargain with someone not to use it (thus keeping himself from being the replacement).
It's given him a false sense of security and I think James is going to underperform in the POV today, because of it.
Everyone else, however, will have a heightened sense of urgency that they've never played POV with before (because everyone's safety is really on the line in this scenario) and that will come back to hurt James.
So.. I guess my prediction is that James will NOT win POV today, due to the way noms went down. I think it would've turned out better had James just let Adam put him straight up on the block. I also predict that Ryan will be holding the POV medallion when the feeds come back later this afternoon.
Errrrrrrrr... wait. I partially take back my POV prediction. The only way James can win POV today, is if it's one of those comps where points are added to, or subtracted from, a HG's score depending on if they take prizes, or if they take punishment. Any kind of game of sacrifice and I think he might be able to pull it off. Otherwise I just don't think the high-pressure edge will be there for him.
I hope that BB lets Sharon have the guinea pigs. :-)

I have not been sure how I felt about Sharon because I was never sure what her strategy was. After last night, she has gained my respect for two reasons. First: She is the one of the only people to carry a bible into the BB house and A:read it quietly to herself without feeling the need to quote scripture to everyone, and B:actually understand the meaning of what she is reading. The second reason is that she stated very firmly that she will NEVER vote for Natalie to win this game. For that reason alone, if Sharon and James do end up in sequester with their friends I can at least take comfort in knowing that they control the vote. Once they fill in Josh and Chelsia on everything they know about Natalie I don't think it will be a problem to get them to vote against her. Since Nat is sure that if she makes it to the final two she will be a shoo in to win the big money, I will be LMAO when the evildoers tell her they had to base their votes on people's actions in the house and not on who played the best game.

In regards to the promise James made that he will not use the POV if he wins it: Natalie said it is hard for her to trust him and that she will have to see it to believe it. Since when does she only believe in things she can see? She believes God talks to her in the sauna, but I have never seen him sitting next to her. She believes she is a woman of her word, but I have never seen any evidence of anything she has said being true. She believes a unicorn will come along and lead her to the land of magical mermaids. O.K. Maybe that last part was fantasy on my part. But she believes Matty really does love her. That is an even bigger fantasy. I sure have not seen anything to show that he even likes the girl.
I am hoping its luxury today. I don't think James will take anything at all. But I bet Ryan will.
Natalie used to be my fav player...but ever since she started using God as game play it's just turned me off. Sharon is my new fav. I can relate to her in that I'm quiet but I've got brains...it seems Sharon got this far because she was so quiet, not putting any targets on her back, and ultimately just letting people use her as a pawn. She plays that right - she doesn't get mad or lash out at anyone when put up as a pawn. She just stays calm and let's the rest of them explode.
Sadly, I'm not sure how much longer she can stay in the house. But I do hope she makes it to the end...I think EVERYONE would vote for her - but it's that fact that may screw her in the end. People know everyone will vote for her, so the furthest she'll make it is final 3.
I would like to see Sharon win and take herself off. Right at this moment I don't think James is a sure thing for a replacement. Adam may be hearing what Gnat et.al. say and he may be pretending he knows he made a mistake, but I don't think he agrees. He knows he shook up the house and he is loving every minute of it, as am I.
Sigh! I don't know how much I'll get to watch/listen/read today because today is our 27th anniversary and we have plans to go to lunch, then go out tonight and enjoy a show with frieds and without me in it.
But I know when I do get to read Carolyn will have it all here and waiting for me, and I will spend hours reading comments. (After 27 years, anniversary does not equal all night wild and crazy action in bed. After 27 years, it probably means a fart, a burp and a good night kiss. :D )

I've said it before, and I'll say it again--I'm thinking Adam keeping James is the best move. I believe James will be true to his word. Since Adam can't compete in the next HOH, he would benefit from James winning it--cause I'm pretty sure James would put up Ryan and Natalie. What are the chances of Sheila or Ryan winning HOH? And if Natalie wins, I think she'll put up James and Sheila for sure.

Natalie-I completely agree with you and your opinions about Evil Dick and Mike "Boogie". Of course you would not approve of ED's method of very loudly insulting people to their faces because we all know that "good" people whisper insults behind other people's backs. And why wouldn't you support Mike? He was wonderful to Erica when he was with her. He never treated her bad. He even talked about love and making babies. It was only behind her back that he said he would use her as long as she was a help to him and when he didn't need her any more he would f*** her and then dump her. I mean how could I disagree with your logic? It is so much more honorable to treat people with kindness while you are sharpening the knife you are going to stab them with.
Everyone for the win except for James! Seems like majority of people are rooting for James on this site. Carolyn, you might as well make this whole entire site dedicated to everyone's night and shining armour. I would love for anyone in that house to win the 500k besides him. I have purposefully not watch BBAD or been to this blog since Thursday night when Adam wonb since I thought it was gonna be the same old James and Sharon on the block. This is because I love both James and Sharon. NOW, I have been spending the past 2 hours reading this blog and comments in total shock/disbelief/excitement/amusement. I can not believe it! I am SO happy that it has turned out this way and I am hoping James can win PoV and possibly take Sharon off the block. Did anybody see the paper this morning. Yeah it had a story about a guy who got sentenced life in prison for throwing pickle juice and then flower on a girl...Yeah intense stuff.
Never, in all my life, have I wanted to gouge my own eyes out with my fingernails until this season of BB! I have watched from season 1, epsiode 1 and have always LOVED this game! We have even made up a family game up after it! Everytime Natalie starts beating people over the head with her G*d rhetoric it literally makes me want to vomit! I simply have to turn of BB some nights...I have NEVER done that before! James is the true underdog in this season and I love to root for the underdog. But, besides that he seems like a real down to earth, caring, intelligent individual. I have to admit, I was put off by his appearence at first and I found Natalies airheadedness endearing. Boy was I judging a book by it's cover! James has been playing a strategic game and I respect his fight and heart! Natalie is too self- rightious and holier than thou that she is making a mockery of Christianity! Adam, James and Sharon are the only humane people left in the house. I realize it is a game, and maybe it brings out the worst in people but I can handle most of the people's worst (all but Josh's 1 rant against Amanda with Chelsia) but Natalie is so convinced that James is EVIL. Who is she to decide what James is and to judge him when she herself is always quoting the bible saying "judge and ye shall be judged"? I was under the impression that G*d is a forgiving G*d. James has made some mistakes in his life, I am sure, but who hasn't? Natalie's own introspection is so void of truth that it is sorta sad! Her warped sense of reality is pathetic and I can only feel pity for her when she watches herself on this show. I only hope she will then see who the nasty person is in the house!
Adam aligning with James would be the smartest move in the game yet! We might finally be able to see some actual game play instead of TC walking around like drones under a spell of Natalie almighty and playing for St. Matty (didn't he leave 4 weeks ago? let it go already!) I have never been so unimpressed with game play and stratagey before this season! Shelia and Natalie just regertgitate what eachother say and Ryan and Adam until now have walked around like ogers, burping, farting, scratching and cussing like unentelligible idiots! Shelia and Natalie just beat people up with her nagging until they can't take it anymore and finally go off on them! None of TC has any loyalty to Adam and the sooner he realizes that he will be better off aligning with James and Sharon the better. If he stays with Natalie and Ryan they will soon go canibalistic on eachother and he is third man on the totum pole. With James, he atleast has a bargining power and I do not think James would turn on him at all because he saved him this week. Big Brother is all about deals in the eleventh hour and it has been so BORING that it hasn't been being played that way! I love to see two people align who you would never expect....That is how you win this game! Go Adam and James!

Ok here are my thoughts:
First of all, I don't particularly care for this cast at all. I think this is the worst season ever and the show has taken a very Real World turn.
[And those who take offense to that and say the Real Word started it all so don't knock it: yes, the Real World was a predecessor, but it changed after a few seasons and became the archetype for all of that other MTV garbage. Kids + alcohol + too much $$ and time = a big ole mess. The Real World is the reason MTV stopped playing music. Sigh.]
So I haven't had favorite players this season - I usually just go for who is turning my stomach the least that day. They're all hypocrites and liars and each have a slew of bad habits. You just can't relate to these people - even Evel Dick said so (he also said they were going back to the old casting format for season 10 and having some older people so that's good).
SAYING THAT: I know James gave his word to Adam, but if he wins the Veto he has to use it on Sharon. If not he is just waiting to get picked off next week - helping the 3 (Nat, Ryan and Adam - who annoy me almost as much as Josh and Chelsia) reach their goal - Final 3. That's just stupid. If James wins and takes Sharon down Ryan or Nat has to go up. And guess what? James and Sharon have 2 out of the 3 votes! Ryan or Nat will go home. I am sure he is aware of this, the boy isn't stupid. We'll see how this plays out!!

i hoping, james gets POV one more time, because maybe the game will change a lil if he does. this is crucial because for the past four weeks weve had nothing but get james out, and i'm sooo sick of it!! if james gets POV, we might actually have some new game play, and real new deals that wont actually be BS =)
Okay...who is ANYONE to judge another? Everyone has their own idea of god, morals, etc. It is not up to Nat and co. to judge that and say who is good or not. Just my opinion. I don't agree with Nat, Sheila, and Ryan's way of bashing EVERYONE, even each other, behind their backs...but to each their own.
As far as everyone on this blog bashing James for his actions? What, he lost it on Sheila....had that been me, my patience would have blown long ago. The woman could drive anyone over the edge. Those so called woman, have said things that as a woman I am ashamed. Being locked up in a situation like that you don't know how it is...try putting yourself in someone else shoes before judging.
Put is this way, there are NO saints in that house, everyone is human and deserves the same chance.

Anonymous 11:51am ; I think you are confusing being a Christian with being perfect. I don't think that any humans are free and devoid of flaws. Comparing Sharon to Natalie is like comparing a german sheppard to a toy poodle. Both may be dogs, but have very different temperments.
If James wins POV and takes Sharon down, then can't Adam just put James up? That's why I don't understand why Natalie and Ryan are freaking out about it. If James wins and takes Sharon down then he'd be going against his word to Adam, so then Adam can just put James up and get him out.

Does anyone know how the application process works to be on the show? I am going to go to the open casting in Virginia Beach, Va but I don't know if I am supposed to send in the application as well.

I want to see Sheila out. She is by far, the most annoying HG that's left. She just doesn't deserve to be in the final 2.. or even final 4 for that matter. I really hope James wins that POV and pulls Sharon down. Get'em JAMES!!

To those questioning about the POV, once James wins it he is automatically safe even if he saves Sharon. The HOH still can't put him on the block. That is the other bonus of POV.
the power of veto protects the person who is using it. it is refered to as the "Golden Power of Veto". a few seasons ago this was started because in the past the hoh could just put up the person who used it, unless it saved themselves.

I've yet to post but wow it's thrown me ryan didn't jump on the team james bandwaggon with adam, I was calling for that the minute Chels left. I know he doesn't display the greatest game mind but that seemed too obvious to miss. Cudos to Adam for taking this risk, some of the haters posting lately forget lying, backstabbing ect are part of the game.
Also I wasn't a James fan to start and still am not a Chels fan but my mind changed when ryan/james had a HoH room chat and in the end ryan said "wow dude your looking at this on a whole deeper level than most". Because James was talking about getting to know people ect.
