Adam's Scapegoating the DR
Rather than burying himself completely with his former alliance, Adam is blaming the DR left and right... saying they wouldn't let him out to talk to them, etc...
I'm not buying it.
Yes, the DR called Natalie away and gave James a fair chance to state his case to Adam uninterrupted for a few minutes. They saw the situation was about to erupt into some incredible tv moments, and they nudged it along so it could.
Adam's a big boy. He made his own decision of his own free will. What he's doing now is trying to save face, and cover his tush, just in case.
This story is reserved exclusively for the people that Adam feels need to hear it... Ryan, Sheila, Natalie...
Talking with Sharon right now, at 7:35pm BBT, it's not coming up at all, because there's no need for it to. Instead, he's asking her if she feels he made the right decision, and he's letting her know that he still has her back...
He is having some remorse, but the DR scapegoating is just that.

I dont think the dr did anything. Adam is just trying to to get the target of his back. I really hope that james can win the POV. I would love to see one of TC crew out the door.
I don't buy the crap that the DR pushed him to do it this way either. All the James haters will say that but whatever!
I absolutely agree. I think you can tell by the way he's talking. He sounds like a little boy lying and making it all up as he goes.

The DR did 'allow' this to happen. I don't think Adam is wrong blaming the DR, but he also needs to blame himself. Hopefully someone besides 2faced James will win POV and kick his butt out for good!
Of course the producers want Adam to save James. Every poll on every BB9 site (including this one) demonstrates that the majority of the viewers want James to have a fighting chance. And I hate to say this, but for once, Natalie is the smart one by keeping her yap shut. Ryan should be quiet and let the sacrificial lamb aka Sheila die.
I take it BB didn't tell him (Adam)to stop talking about his DR? Think the others noticed that?
Chelsia was right, Adam needs to grow a backbone. He tried my nominating Sheila, but any growth is gone now.

I love this site...I really do but I found it very hard to follow last year because of the Dick/Daniele pedestal and I'm running into the same situation this year w/ the James pedestal.
At least this keeps things interesting. It won't cut out the cancer in the house--the core duo of completely craven psycho-disaster that consists of Ryan and Natalie--but it will give me reason to wonder exactly what's going to happen.
Sheila and Sharon being peripheral to the whole thing (even if Sheila is terminally annoying)m they're not who I'd want to see leave, ultimately.
Right now I believe with all of my heart, soul, and mind that Natalie and Ryan deserve the money less than any other player that's been in the house this season. Both of them are running on insecurities--and they deserve to be.
Each time Adam blames the DR, the feeds go to flames. They don't like being accused of manipulating things.
If Adam's smart, no matter who wins POV, he should put Natalie up and get the house to vote her out. She's a snake in the grass. Plays like she's still friend to his face and says she's puttin him up behind his back. Even before this, she said Ryan was her strongest alliance. Adam, you did the right thing. Don't second guess yourself Baller.

Clearly, the DR did have a hand in swaying Adam's final decision. Having said that, it was HIS final decision. Plus, so what if they influenced his decision a little bit? Can anyone actually admit that they'd enjoy another THREE FULL WEEKS of nothing but Team Christ and their sanctimonious (and frighteningly hypocritical) hatred towards anyone who isn't Team Christ? I'd definitely cancel my feeds subscription, no doubt about it.
I thought I'd miss Josh but this is turning out to be very interesting. I wonder if Adam's end game is to get into the final three with Sharon and James? That would be smart I think.
But if Sharon and Sheila are the noms, and James does not win POV, wouldn't Ryan and Nat vote out Sharon, just to get back at Adam/James? Or deep down do they really want Sheila gone too?

A lot of commmentary has gone about what Adam should do, Ryan should do, James should do...
I want to add what Sheila should do (apart from the flying leap obvious). In one of the clips she tells Adam that she still has his back or that she believes that he has hers. If that were true, why does she not "man-up" and tell him what Natalie said in the blue room re putting him up when she wins HOH? It's a rhetorical question really.

There might be some truth to this,that the DR might have influenced him a bit,but ultimately,he had the power to make the decision he wanted to so he's the only one to blame for how the noms went.Although I don't even like Ryan and Nat, I hope they realize this.

You know I hope James does win and save Sharon. It would really be a great move. Because James and Sharon can BOTH play for hoh against Ryan/Sheila or Nat/Sheila. Either way it's about time something exciting is happening. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that James wins though.

Listening to Sharon in the hot tub and listening to Natalie...well, pretty much all of the time, I am starting to feel like I want to take a stand for these girls. I want to march right in to the bible store and demand a refund. Their bibles are missing a commandment. I think it was something about telling lies and how you're not supposed to.
i've only been watching bb since i got bb8 on demand over the summer but i've become super obsessed thanks in large part to bb9dish! it's more addicting than chocolate.

If you're making this a battle to determine the most morally pure of the houseguests, you're setting yourself up for some major disappointment.
This isn't about who deserves to win because they told the truth--ALL of the HGs have lied multiple times. Why do you think all of them keep swearing on Bibles and moms and children and anything else they can think of? And then they STILL aren't telling the truth.
You can hate James, that's fine. But I invite you to figure out why you REALLY dislike him. I can almost guarantee you that it has nothing to do with gameplay--that rarely comes into the question when the emotion is a strong one.
The more upset gNatty gets, the higher her voice becomes towards the end of sentences. And her body language goes bonkers.

I keep seeing these comments about how Carolyn and this blog is favoring James. I think Carolyn has done an awesome job of letting everyone speak thier minds against everyone in the house. I myself hate James and hopes he goes home, but Carolyn had never not published one of my comments against him just because she may like him and want him to win.
It's just a game, everyone has thier favorites and just because Carolyn runs this blog doesn't mean she can't have a favorite player or an opinion. And call me blind but I have never seen the James favorism on this block. I honestly have no idea who Carolyn is rooting for.
Hello, I've not posted before, but i thought i would comment here...
I've been a long time watcher of the feeds, and the relationship between the DR and the game is sort of complicated. Yes, the DR has unfairly tried to influence the game many times in the past. The HG's sign away any rights to expect to be able to do anything about this, still, they don't have to like it (but they usually will get shushed for talking about it). That's not the problem here though. It's not with the producers at all really. The show isn't even classified as a game show, the FCC has agreed that if they register it as a "for entertainment only" program, the producers can rig the game all they want. What's wrong here is, hey, shouldn't the FCC's main role here be to protect the public from shows telling them they are something they aren't. They present it to "the people" as a game show, it doesn't matter to the public whats entered in the books at the FCC. Even if in this case it is harmless, do we really need to keep allowing a group that claims to have some sort of moral authority to continue to be in cahoots with these kinds of deceptions?

Can someone (repectfully) explain to me how James is a two-faced liar? The only "evidence" of that was telling Natalie that he wouldn't nominate her and Matt (which he didn't...having only put Matt up after he found out about he blatant lie). I don't have the feeds, but Carolyn is my messiah and I read the blogs 50 times a day, and I can't see much more evidence that James is a two-faced liar.
I can understand if James is not a favorite houseguest ( mean, he is different and we know how awful that can be (sarcasm). But why is it that the Team Christ fans are bashing him so hard???
I know people are bashing Sheila, but, honestly, she brings that on herself...and you can't help but giggle at Natalie's expense because, well, she is certifiable.

Don't you think that if AGP were really conspiring to help who they want to win the game, that Janelle would have won BB6 or BB7??? I mean really, she was a huge fan favorite...I definitely see them causing a stir, they want good television...but the conspiracy theories are just nonesense (in my opinion).

He's just as sanctimonious as the others, alienated himself from most of the house, gave a morality speech in front of everyone and then went back on his word in a big way, and has been acting like a big baby. The only thing he's done well is win POV's. Yes, that's good, but not enough to warrant some of your undying praise.
The producers don't care who wins, they care the rattings are high. It's all about an exciting show, it's not about any particular person.

I'm not a James basher; in fact, I've become a James fan by default because of the other people in the house. Still, I'm pretty sure I can answer your question. The folks who hate James perceive his hardcore decisions after being resurrected as mean. The way he came back steely-eyed and determined to kill (in the metaphorical sense) is unconscionable to them. The corollary, of course, is that they see Ryan and Natalie as merely reacting to and against James' onslaught.
In this gameview, James has become the predator and Ryan, Natalie, et al. the prey. And when the prey started beating the predator, Team Christ fans stood up and cheered.
Now my (unasked for) cultural analysis: If this reminds anyone of the standard tactics of the Christian Right-Wing (i.e., the claim that they are the minority that's constantly being dismissed and trod upon, when the exact opposite is actually true), I don't think you're too far off the mark. In subtle ways perhaps, this season has become U.S. culture wars writ very small.
Oh, and Carolyn...I love you!!! Just wanted to let you know that, and that I appreciate everything that you do. Today has been my first day commenting, even though I have been reading all season...and I am hooked :-)

I never once tried to psychoanalyze your reasons...I simply asked why...and still have not gotten a straight answer...just more sour grapes.

Sheila needs to GO! Adam is just weak & no one believes his DR story. It's just a lame story. I think he's got guts finally putting up Big Sheila and I'm impressed, but I wish he wouldn't blame the DR.

To Groove: Ryan made the only(IMO) stratigic, non-emotional game play by recognizing James as a serious threat and backdooring him BEFORE sequester house (though this was undone by N/A). Everything since then (almost a month) has been emotionally driven (Matt, Chelsia,Josh). To Boern: Where do I say I HATE James? Where in my post do I say who I am even rooting for? Have you heard what happens when you assume? Oh yeah, by the way, I was pulling for Joshuah over Ryan in the F2.

Ok - I know astrology is not real, but it is kind of interesting to look at the HG's behavior based upon their signs. We had 3 Scorpios in the house - Nat, Chelsia, and James. If you check up on the common traits of Scorpios, you will note some interesting things. The sign of Scorpio rules the genitals. When it comes to sexual activities in the house, I think it is interesting that our 3 Scorpios were involved. Scorpios are water signs - and the water signs are the most emotional. Their symbol is the Scorpion, meant to symbolize their hard exteriors protecting their very soft insides - but don't forget the stinger! Upset a Scorpio and you will experience their sting - they are masters of revenge (ever need to get back at an enemy? try asking a Scorpio for advice - you will be amazed at what they come up with). James' attacks on the house after votes against him, overheard comments, etc, Chelsia's egg smashing, Natalie's refusal to remember anything James has done other than evict Matt and strong desire to send Matt a "birthday gift"... there are many many examples. Josh was a Gemini, know for the gift of gab, smooth talking, and volatile moods. An air sign, Geminis are thinkers - notice who examined the rule book trying to think of a clever way out of his fix? Sharon is a Cancer - another water sign. The Crab also has a hard shell protecting soft insides, but no stinger. They don;t have the sting of the Scorpio and are even less likely to let people in - and who has been the person in the house who has opened up the least? Shelia is an Aries - a fire sign. Impulsive, passionate, hard headed, most Rams seem to have difficulty seeing the obvious consequences of their actions. You would think by now she would know there are times she could keep her voice down. (btw - Matt is also a Ram). Ryan's a Virgo - earth sign and thus practical, a mutable sign and thus flexible. I think there are plenty of instances we can point to where Ryan showed just how flexible he can be as far as how he tries to play. Finally, Adam is a Taurus, another grounded earth sign. But we all know if you mess with the bull, YOU GET THE HORNS. Everyone remember how Adam responded when he got dragged into the James/Shelia confrontation? I know, I know - astrology isn't real. I'm just saying it's interesting is all...

Lulu, I think one reason why Janelle may have not won, if indeed she was helped by the producers (which she was, in my opinion), is exaclty what's wrong with BB. For some reason, the producers have decided to present this as a game show and therefore try to hide their influence to the TV viewers (and slightly more vainly to the feeds viewers), so even if they tailor a comp to one particular hg doesn't mean they will win it...it's still unfair though. I mean, if I know it's not fair i might get to avoid entering an office pool or something. What I think they should do is go back to their roots and actively and proudly make the hg's lives a living hell :-)

You know, listening to Ryan's rational, I believe he is absolutely correct, no doubt. But the again, I may be a lil' bias!
If I'm annoying anyone with my, uh, psychoanalysis, I apologize. I mean that sincerely. Not that it will make me stop, because I believe that underlying motivations are playing a major role in the game and on Carolyn's forum, but I'm honestly not trying to annoy anyone.
I'll readily admit that Natalie and Ryan's gameplay means not a whit to me. They could be the best players ever, and I'd still dislike them both on a primal level--their personalities and motivations remind me of what I find most repugnant about humans nature, including my own.
I think people are often comforted by seeing what they want to see, so I understand it when underlying motivations are denied. I just seldom agree that those underlying motivations aren't really there.
As for the whole "is it real or is it fake" debate concerning producer manipulation of the show: It'd take a book, but I could prove that NOTHING you see on TV is "real" in the sense that people think of when they say "real life". Suffice it so say that as long as cameras and editing of any kind are involved, you're always getting a mediated view of what's happening. And therefore, in a very important sense, you're always being told a story that isn't "real".
Boy, the Team Christ supporters are almost as angry as the TC itself.

HATE is such a strong and ugly word. Don't hate X, Y or Z. You don't know them. You shouldn't even hate people you do know. Hate their actions. Hate the way X, Y or Z is playing the game, but please don't hate the people.
I'm sick at heart for all the person who have so much hate.
But I applaud Carolyn for putting up with each of us and posting what we say no matter how we say it. I wouldn't want her job for a $1 Million, much less, $500K, and certainly not for the small number of tips she receives for all she does for us.

He's failing to mention the fact that he made James a final-two deal. Geez, Adam's lost his mind, fer real. Just screwed himself. He'd better be lying to James about that final two thing, because if Pinky stays he'll run right to Sharon and all three of them will be screwed.
I do not think for a minute James' tears were fake. Those were the tears of a hurt, frustration and weeks of mental abuse and character assassination. This season has bothered me on such a deep emotional level that when the whole scene was unfolding on the feeds I had to walk away from my computer. I was distraught. I realize there was a lot of hypocrisy and bible thumping last year but Dick was a man who built his reputation on not being liked by those kinds of people. He could handle almost anything except when they went after his daughter. James is a kid. Aside from the fact that I really do not know of anything he has done wrong to these people other than the whole Matt controversy, even if he was a sneaky player the way he has been talked about goes way beyond any game. And it especially bothers me from Sheila because she is a mother and from Natalie because in her mind she really believes she is a good christian. They say he put himself on an island, but in the beginning of the game he was friendly with almost everyone. Natalie's scheming and lying is what started this whole hatefest. Has anyone really tried to know him other than Chelsia. I suspect he may have a lot of emotional baggage that has led him to strike out in the world as such an independant offbeat soul. I have no evidence to back this up and am only guessing at a possibility, but most people would not get a tattoo like the one he has on his arm on a whim. That there is a well planned, deeply thought out, strong religious statement that he is making. There might be a lot more depth to this boy than the other people in this house realize. I don't know for sure, but I'm just sayin', think about it. On a sidenote, I said this earlier and I will say it again-Matt was NOT backdoored. He played in the POV. That is not being backdoored. James was backdoored.

You are so right... Ryan was also evicted before sequester... but got a second chance.
don't know if anyone's mentioned this or not - but isn't there a chance that James' name might not be pulled from the bag that they draw the PoV players from? (gawd - I hope I'm applying that bag to the right competition!) If so, wish Baller would have mentioned that to help get himself out of hot water.

I was watching the live feeds at the time, and Adam had made his final decision long before the DR called him in. He made the deal with James, hugged, cried, shook on it and talked about it for quite a while. After James left, then he was called to the DR.
The DR did not help him made the decision, it was already made.

there is a way that James can win the POV and still get Sheila out. If he wins the POV, and get both Ryan and Natalie to promise to vote for Sheila out, if he doesn't use the POV on Sharon. That is the scenario I would like to see take place. Even if Natalie defaults, Sheila would still be gone. It would be a true test to see how "truthful" and if Natalie really keeps all her promises.
If James wins it, and if I were him, I would then go straight to Natalie and Ryan and corner then and give them the ultimatium, you either promise me that you will vote Sheila out, or I will use the POV and have one of you put up against Sheila.
Problem in this scenario, James has to win the POV.
nwjoe, best game decision that James has made, alligning with Adam. are you upset about it? second best, laying low (as far as outburst) last week (after the POVE competition) and distancing himself during Chelsia's rant. To whoever said ryan was safe if he took the 2 week deal to backdoor matt. That same night, james said to josh and chelsia that they need to backdoor ryan next week whether he takes the deal or not. And they agreed.
I dont like or dislike james really .. i dont have any reason to root for him at all and i wont kick and scream if he does win .
That beign said. after careful scrutiny, it is clear that BB was steering things last night. Not only did they pull out natalie and ryan ..which they never do .. they always let people play out big talks and arguments ( that should tell you something)... but they also called nominations immeadiately after it was clear adam was at the peak of being on the side of keeping james off the block so he wouldnt have time to think about it and possibly change his mind.
Adam is at least telling 80% truth about the DR .. first of all it makes absolute sense and 2nd he is showing the same body laguage he has shown when has told the truth before. third it is well known that that the DR does that kind of thing 4th BB has every reason to do it bcause it makes for better Tv dramam if james si able to take soem power back in the house.5th they pulled peopel out of critical talls which they dont do normally 6th they kept adam away form anyone but james and called nominations as soon as it looked like james got him so he couldnt be talked out of it or think his own way out of it.
Funny thing how almost all james fans deny the poosibility that BB steeered the action last night and team christ fans would tesify it to god. Even this website is declaring it cant be true because they are rabid james fans.
Reason is that deep down inside if you are a james fan you are desperately wanting to believe that james has another friend in this house and that he will help james go all the way and if you arent you are frightened by the opposite and are concerned that adam could possibly switch.
I can tell you from fairly nutruel eyes that that BB definitely had a hand in things but adam doesnt think things through when hes nervous or excited and the DR took advantage of that fact and basically screwed Adam with the whole house to furher their agenda.
The DR did do this, look how long he was in the DR not to mention DR calling Nat when she was in the HOH then boo hoo James pulled his fake crying act just like Josh did my goodness the two of them are two peas in a pod. Clearly if James hadn't been left alone with Adam before they shook on it James would have been put up, DR called Nat out of HOH for that reason because James wasn't all sucky when Nat was there and the minute she left HOH James started whining and of all things bringing up his father again.
Adam is just playing the game... and doing it quite well right now. In fact, I believe he has been playing all along. He was able to appear to be floating and writing it off as doing "Nat and Ryan's" bidding, but he went along, free choice, and stayed relative safe and well-liked at the same time. Good game playing.
What he has done with this move is win-win for himself. It's down to "nut cutting" time and every man for themselves, week by week. Adam is sitting pretty with everyone, even his "alliance" which he portrayed. He's playing it smart with them (I messed up, big dummy me), is good with James (which can only be for the moment with James anyway), etc.
Now who's playing smart?
