DEAL: Chelsia's Vegas Trip for Nat on the Block
7:10pm BBT
Jacuzzi
James, Chelsia, Josh, Sharon
The conversation has gotten DEEP back into game. Josh, James, Chelsia and Sharon have just come up with an idea to save Chelsia - trade Adam the Vegas package in exchange for putting Natalie up on the block. Chelsia goes in to ask the DR if they can do this.
James says maybe to include Sheila as an option... Sharon and Josh agree Sheila's not worth 21k and Vegas. Maybe 5k and a water park.
7:19pm BBT
Adam joins the group outside...
Waiting for someone to broach the subject...
Chelsia: So Adam, whaddya want? What do I gotta do to stay in this game?
Adam: Do we have to have this conversation right now?
Chelsia: Yes. Do you think this is the best thing for you?
Adam: No. I can't tell what's the best thing for me.
Conversation goes back to chatter... Chelsia runs in to grab something...
Adam: What? She wants to stay, huh?
Josh: She wants to stay. Baaaad.
FLAMES!
Return from Flames @ 7:24pm BBT
and James and Chelsia are both gone...
Sounds like the deal was flat out rejected...
Josh: You can't blame her for trying.
Adam: No.
Sharon: James even said he wouldn't vote for her to stay.
Adam: Ya know. I think what I did is best for me. If i do switch it up somehow, everyone's pissed at me. This way, only James is. Hopefully what I'm doin' now... Even if James puts me on the block next week, I'm still safe.
Josh: If James puts you up against Natalie, you're fine. And thank you for putting up Sharon. She's not mad, she's fine.
Sharon: I came up to you with the deal... This is gonna be the easiest HoH week for you ever.
Adam: I mean, I'm sorry she's mad, but...
Ryan comes outside, and the conversation returns to the movie.
We learn 30 minutes later the DR said no to the deal. Here's the clip, captured by xx2000xx:

Screw that! I'd just take the 21K and the trip and say "see ya!" and head to sequester. She has no guarantee that she's going to win if she stays. She could still end up walking out empty handed. Chelsea has said that she didn't come to play the game for the money, I guess she really meant it!!
As much as I would love Chels to stay in the game, I think she should keep the money. What if he takes it, and puts Nat up, but she still goes home? Even if not this week, she would have to be one of the last 2 to take home that kind of money.
A-Baller is going home next week.
Awesome I'm so glad Adam rejected Chelsia's offer. It's smart of him not to switch it up well if he puts up Josh then more power to him. It'd be dumb to put up Natalie because even if she is a threat to him he could use her for voting numbers.
Vee
sounds like BB told her no. something in the rules about bartering & bribing for votes
hey carolyn and all, parker is on tmz...

I am constantly amazed at the stupidity. J/C & J/S are constantly accusing the other side of not doing what is best for that side. But to be truthful, any move to remove one of the "evil" (used for ease of identification only) members is always good for the "good" (also used for ease of identification). The evil team know that eliminating one of the good team members is in their interest. The good team know that eliminating one of the evil team is good for their team. It is a matter of which side has the most votes. All personal oppinions aside, the votes are what count. No matter how annoying are obnoxious someone is, votes are votes. The evil team is constantly complaining that the good team is not being smart by eliminating one of the evil team members. They feel the good team should be eliminating someone annoying. But yet that is not how they make decisions. The evil team targets the good team and sees nothing wrong with that. But yet the evil team complain constantly about the good team targeting the evil team.
Sorry for the over use of good and evil (I'm getting nausous already) but it was the easiest way to seperate the two groups.
how much do you think this is BB trying to manipulate the game? BB sees chelsea is the next one to leave they award her a valuable prize that they know she can use to negotiate a possible stay of execution.
charlie
Well, sounds like Baller has grown a set, good for him! Now he something MORE he can scratch...EEEEwwww
...sorry
WTG Adam I didn't think you had it in you! I agree with your post Vee.
DebinNY
IMO BB should let her use it as a bribe, but I'm glad she can't b/c it would have been stupid.
the DR said she couldn't barter the trip.....
thanks - i had misunderstood...
Am i reading the site right lately? Has James flipped on Chelisa or am I missing something....which is entirely possible since I have been so tired lately. I am way confused!!!! Does she know?
"Sharon: James even said he wouldn't vote for her to stay."
Does Chelsea know this??
I cant wait for Chelsia to be gone.
I hope Natalie or Sheila win HOH.
Jocalyn & Angie
I don't know what to believe anymore... They say it, if it sounds important, I type it... I thought Chelsia knew, but at this point, I'm not sure.
Angie, yes she knows that she is going 5-0 and says she doesn't care. J/S talked when he came back in and agreed they couldn't look out for each other anymore and had to seperate game-wise.
I really wish Nat or Sheila were going this week. The two of them together annoy me to NO END!
As of last night James was telling Chelsea that the votes will go 4-1 (him being the 1 of course).
It's so hard to tell with these people what is BS and what is the truth.
Good evening Carolyn you sweetheart. Spent the day with the boyfriend and haven't caught anything today in the BB house. These houseguest make more deals than a game show.
xteluvsbb -
Thank you :) for the other comment too. ;)
MyBamaaaa!! :) Hi honey. I spent the day being pampered... mani, pedi, facial, GLORIOUS.. then a 5pm meal with a friend.
Definitely needed the break.
Well, most of what comes out of James's mouth is complete and utter BS.
I think it was a good call on BB to deny the barter. After all, THEY make the rules! (Although, Josh and James seem to think they make them.)
I can't believe James was sitting there on the bed on BBAD chewing his toenails last night. Then Chelsia told him to stop it. Then she was called to DR. And, what's funny, is that when she got up to leave, he got up and tried to kiss her!!! Ewwww! He grosses me out! From his pink mohawk, to his ugly, painted, chewed to the quick toenails!
(Yeah, right! Chew your feet and then try to kiss your girl!) GROSS!
I have an important issue to bring up. As those of you who follow this blog know, I am middle aged - graduated HS in '85. So what's the deal with the worst of the 80's fashions coming back? These kids are wearing now what middle aged woman wore then. Skorts and high belts that make everyone look pregnant? What the hell is up with that? Enlighten me.
Jane
Jane - I take issue with that statement. :P I graduated in 86, and I am NOT middle aged!
I'm still 16.. I don't know how the hell 39 happened!
C - I like to embrace my middle-ageded-ness. It allows me to feel superior with no guilt or shame. :-)
Jane
Jane - hehehe.. I still feel like a kid. :)
Im with ya Jane!! I graduated in '86 as well. I took the youngest daughter (13) shopping today, and I was like HUH?!?!? The long sweaters with belts and leggings underneath. She even wanted a t-shirt that said "Nothing beats 80's music" and had a cassette tape print on it...she got THAT!! But all the neon and VANS!! One of her friends had a pair of the black and white checkered VANS on last week, and I told them, "I had an ORIGINAL pair of those in 1983!!"
jane,
natalie's wardrobe is the only one that freaks me out. in her knee highs she looks like a really bad high school girl actress in a raunchy 70s kiddie porn kinda thing
charlie
I know C. Your youthful exuberance. That's why I'm so into you. lol.
Jane
lol.. my friend jody and I went to an 80s costume party at some club a few back... we both wore original clothing... I was a preppy... She was all about Duran Duran with a cut off the shoulder a la flashdance spray painted sweatshirt... both of us with super glittery excessive eye makeup... and extra poufy hair...
we got there, and i swear we were the only people who there who were out of diapers in 86... Ouch!
Oooooooo BIG OUCH!!!!
Hi Carolyn,
I've just been catching up on your blog (as always you rock my world by giving me the inside scoop on everything!). I've been "on-call" at work for the past week and haven't been able to watch/read as much as I wanted. Anyway, my question is this: I was reading the Amanda interview (which was fabulous by the way) and I got lost by this Q & A. Please forgive the cut & paste.
Carolyn: Can you clear the air for us about the situation with Alex & the inappropriate behavior in the bedroom?
Amanda: Sorry- I wish I could address this more, but I don't want to speak badly about Alex... He knows what he tried to do...
Can you fill me in? I'm wondering if it is something that happened before I started reading your blog. I adore Amanda and would like to know what happened. Thanks again...glad you had a wonderful Saturday.
Jeri
biskit - doesn't mean the 20somethings weren't hitting on us anyway :P lol. just means we're too smart to consider it. ;)
Jeri - Amanda told most of the women in the house that Alex had touched her inappropriately while he thought she was sleeping.
We saw a lot of it last season with Daniele the fashion queen. She weighs about 3 pounds soaking wet, and her high belts that made her look five months pregnant. One of life's true mysteries.
Jane
OH I am SURE they were!! And I wouldn't have been able to blame them, at ALL!!
;)
Just think, we have the BIG 4-0 fixing to hit us doll!
she could offer to bring adam as a guest and split the 5k in casino chips. Adam seems like a gambler he might take that offer. Hopefully she thinks of that. I bet he'd be fun in vegas. He seems like a nice enough guy :)
-->>>I can't hear youuuuu<<<---
-->>Fingers in Ears<<--
HAHAHAHA!!!
Just another number!!
You know ME!! I REFUSE TO GROW UP!! I'm just a big ol' kid at heart!
Thinking maybe I'll do something very cool for my 40th... a big trip somewhere cool... hmmm...
Maybe New Zealand...
And Skiiing in celebration...
Hmmm...
I have NO idea what I am going to do for mine...NONE!
Ugh, 40 was so traumatic. My mother insisted on this big party with the whole family, I guess to celebrate my ensuing decrepitness. I never had a problem with getting older, until the party from hell. Ironically the whole night was so humiliating I felt about 12.
Jane
Oh my Jebus I just had to post this....
I am watching BBAD and Josh is going off about being tired of seeing Natalie's va-jay-jay every single day and someone in the control room just panned to the fish on the wall and focused on the fish lips. LOL! Sorry if that is rude, but I just found that hysterical and had to tell other people!
OK, back to the va-jay-jay bashing!
~ Ryan ~
Class of '82 .....
Y'all are a bunch of kids !
;)
Ooooo NO THANK-YOU on the party!! I'll just take some St. Louis Cardinal tickets and I'd be a Happy Camper!!
Ry - I'm watching it.. very funny... i'll be posting a clip of it shortly.
I feel like a kid somedays Shamrock, I do, when my back and knees allow me too!! HAHAHA!
Koodos fish cam operator. Classic.
Jane
Oh, I can't believe I was almost missing the discussion of the 80's! I graduated in '87. I love the revival of the 80's clothes LOL anything's better than hip huggin' bell bottoms---UCH!
You know you're not a kid - when you start talking about feeling like a kid. lol.
Jane
Here's ya an idea, Carolyn. My friend jsut turned 41, so we threw her a party...an anniversay party for her 21st birthday. totally 80's theme! There are pictures posted in my myspace albums. Forgive the blurriness, I swear they were in focus when I took them. But I had the better part of a fifth of vodka that night...
OMG
Am I the oldest one around? Class of '81 here. Oy veh.
tella - but you have that european vegan thing goin on, so you automatically get to deduct 10 years. ;)
Big Brother rarely gives the HG's "toys" without using something like that in a competition.
Baller is not much of a "baller" when it comes to mini-hoops. If there is some kind of a basketball shooting contest in a HoH or POV comp, then he's not going to do well. He couldn't hit the proverbial broad side of a barn.
ooooooh I'm a child of the 80's too - class of 88. For my upcoming 40th (2010), it will be my mom's 60th, so we're planning a trip to Hawaii that year.
My sister (35 the same year) doesn't want to go without her kids (....why?!) so we told her we would go without her.
Mom and I both have our SMGS (special money gathering spot) cans that we're dumping all our change into. Mom's already up to $600 or so saved, and me... well, I have kids that bleed me for every penny, but the can is starting to fill up. I adore hanging with my mom - it's going to be a blast!
As for fashion - well, my daughters a couple of years ago (they're 13 and 8 now) were mad I wouldn't buy them a halloween costume again. So I bet them that I could make awesome costumes out of household items, and old clothing. I ended up with two rocked out punked out Rock'n'Roll Divas and they both swear it's the best costume they've ever had. Teased fliffy hair, leg warmers, off the shoulder painted t-shirts... it was AWESOME. and i felt SO OLD.
Fortunately, on MY side of the eyes, I'm still 16.
Hmm, I hate to break it to the HGs, but those prizes, like the bike, the trip to Vegas, etc., are considered taxable income by the IRS. Same thing for those people who win big on game shows like The Price Is Right.
Adam should get taxed on the fair market value of that bike he got.
Sorry...degree in bean counting here.
Everyone should know by now that the IRS wants a little bit of everything you have...
thezanyone -
You're right, and I think that's why Chelsia couldn't barter her Vegas trip away. It would create problems on who is liable for the taxes on that gift/prize.
I don't mean to keep harping on the old side of being old - but we are all too OLD to be obsessed with BB like we are. We're pathetic!! LOL.
Love you guys even more now!
Jane
shamrock - I think they don't let them exchange prizes because it's illegal gambling - unlike winning a prize in the "games." A slop pass has no monetary value, so it's can be given away.
Jane
i fly my geek flag high and proud. ;)
lessa - for my 30th, my mom and i went to alaska :) LOVED it!!!
bedtime for bonzo...
2nd wind for the HGs...
everyone's up again.
Josh is having a depressive episode with a panic attack. You know there is a shrink and a "risk manager" on site at all times, including in the car if they ever travel and present at eviction. They are repeatedly asked if they feel like they want to harm themselves or others.
Not joking.
Jane
Jane
'I don't mean to keep harping on the old side of being old - but we are all too OLD to be obsessed with BB like we are. We're pathetic!! LOL.'
You are so right... At least I live by myself and don't have to excuse my addiction to anyone? I also think that some time under the belt teaches you understanding and compassion... OHHHH... that almost sounds like a Sheila'ism.
Carolyn
Thanks for the wise compliment. However, my sweet tooth and increasingly lazy ass is making me age by the day. I need another trip far away (and not Sweden, because that is not a vacay) with some boytoy for enjoyment. ;-) Haven't you heard of "Tella Got Her Groove Back"?
wow.. i had no idea... i knew there was a shrink on call, but not the rest. also, i didn't pick up on the panic attack.
I learned all this stuff from my friend who was a shrink for reality TV. Some of the stuff I feel wierd about posting. But there are a battery of professionals with them all the time (and after) to make sure there are no suicide attempts or other violence.
Jane
Tella - :) Sounds wonderful...
Jane - I'm curious to know more...
tella - I also live alone and you guys are the ONLY ones who know about my secret BB life!
Jane
ok.. i'm going to bed. this time i mean it. :)
thanks for coming and hanging out with me. :)
Jane - pvt - Thanks :)
Jane, Carolyn & Biskit: Carolyn is right, you're kids. I graduated in 1966 and I AM middle age. When people were dying in their early to late 60s+, 40ish was middle age. Now people are living to 80s and 90s, so 60 is more middle age. However, like Carolyn, in my heart I am still a kid and no one is going to make me grow up. ;P
Unfortunately, byebye Chelsia...byebye ratings.....people would be hanging off their seats if baller backdoored someone. but now we will all turn to mush with boring convos between Shelia and Nat...for some reason...I'm NOT excited
haha me to Biskit, I'll be 50 this year and loving it woo hoo, don't feel it and don't look it that's the bright side for me.
So why do I feel so oooollllddddd!?
lol.
Jane
I feel old daily, and I am only 27! It blows my mind when I think about the fact that people who are 18 were born in the 90s. o_O
BTW, am I the only one who thinks that James has lost some weight?
Also, I am developing newfound respect for Adam. I think he has played well by staying under the radar, and now he is tightening up his game. Props to him.
