The HGs got their Toys!

Following a half hour outdoor lockdown, the HGs were let back inside to find their new toys from Big Brother all over the dining table. They got Topic Cards, Big Golf Clubs and a Remote Control Truck, which Adam broke faster than a kid on Christmas morning.

I just have to report my suspicions. I know we are all trying to find a reason for Nat's weirdness.... I can't say for sure anything, all we can do is speculate. But perhaps Nat should go to a Psychatrist, seriously. She claims God talks to her in her head, yet you see that anyone who goes against what Natti wants, somehow God agrees and says they will go to hell.... For example, when Baller did not nominate James, she went on a God spewing spree.
Did anyone ever stop to think perhaps she has a multiple personality disorder, or another disorder which is similar, hearing voices in your head ALL the time is not really a good thing. I don't think even God would do that to a person.
But I would love to hear your opinions on the matter of what might actually be wrong with her.
*Besides her living in the State of Delusion.

megan - basically exactly what I just posted on the early chat. Her mother has schizophrenia. She is genetically predisposed and the right age. We have talked about this before - but so much more has happened.

NONE of them know what matriarchal and patriarchal means. And quite a few of them are college graduates. Ugh. At least James, with no college, figured out the mother/father Latin roots.

so what. why does everyone pick on nat? at least she had some college. natalie is very smart, and plays stupid. none of these idiots can see that. so that means that she is doing her job well. win it nat. i think she will. u go girl!!
Im not sure theres anything terribly wrong with gnat in a diagnostic sense. She strikes me as someone who goes thru life in her own little universe, and all data is filtered to exist peacefully in that world. For data that doesnt fit into her world she simply denies the existence of the data. Its simplistic and requires no introspection to verify her internal world fits with the data from the outside. Typically stems from a traumatic or threatening external environment when developing as a child.
Hallucinations are only one of the diagnostic criteria for scizophrenia, its accompanied by inability to form relationships, isolation, significant impairment in life functioning, non of these are remotely present imho.

what voices in her head? god? plenty of people think god speaks to them. its only when god speaks to you thru connie chung or britany spears then it is a problem.
I'm not suggesting Natalie has schizophrenia, I'm saying that she has a predisposition and she is at the right age for symptoms to emerge. Besides, she doesn't need to have full blown schizophrenia to have psychotic features.
I don't see any evidence that she has hallucinations, I'm suggesting she has some kind of black outs or loosing time. Maybe it's not that concrete and she just chooses to forget. But that alone is fairly delusional behavior.
"Her own little universe" is just the kind of behavior we put mental health labels on. Maybe it's just emotional problems, but no doubt after a doc visit there would be a code submitted to an insurance company that correlates with some page in the DSM IV. I'm curious what that code would be.

anon 4:33 - I didn't say anything about stupid people and community college and/or art school. There is a huge diversity of people who go to community programs. But the criteria for signing up is generally filling out a form and paying the fee. They don't require test scores, transcripts, or portfolios, so you may be a genius - or not. Even if you can generalize about people who went to "regular" college (which I don't think you really can), it's even harder to do that with community programs because there is no consistent criteria for admittance. My point is that a lot of people have stated Natalie should be smart because she went to 3 years of college, and I’m saying we can’t assume that. She is clearly smart in many ways and knowledgeable about a lot of things. But she doesn’t seem to have an extensive formal education.

She is saying constantly that God talks to her in her head. He told her that she was keeping her family together as a child, and now in the house God tells her everyday about all the other houseguests. Thats not a bad thing, if God does tell her about them, good for her. But, she always contradicts what God says. For example, the Matty leaving because James is a demon, now she says God sent him away because he is a liar. Do you understand now? If a voice or God is in your head, only telling you exactly what you want to hear, don't you think thats a problem?

Lol, im sure shed have a basket full of dsm codes, and if she went to say 3 different shrinks im not sure theyd come up with the same ones.
My point, not artfully made, was she appears to be rather child like, immature in her psychological development rather than what a previous poster was speculating about scizophrenia, and your right there are a cluster of scizo-affective persomailty disorders but they are very different to scizophrenia.
It wouldnt surprise me were gnat continue to deny any involvement with matty post bb inspite of the video evidence.

Don't shoot the messenger on this one, but there are people who speculate that those in the bible and throughout history who heard god speak would be diagnosed with mental illness today and given meds to stop the voices in their heads.
could she be denying because her heart was broken and felt used..lots of girls did that in college to protect themselves from humiliation...come on seriously she is still denying the fight as a real fight between them because she doesn't want the embarrassment..i really don't see nothing wrong with that even in the game..that is a personality trait..as far as college most people go to community college because of money issues or career choices not because of stupidity...actually nat is smarter than she looks and is acting because if you watch her enough you catch her in it....it makes people think about her not being a threat
being schizo is not voices in your head necessarily....it is thinking that someone is always after you...bi polar is voices or second personality...my bro is schizo bi polar and he sees pink spiders chase hinm and he sees some humans as aliens when they look at him and has anger issues when he is not on lithium.
personally i don't think it is god talking to her maybe the devil..she just needs the proper guidance ands she is obviously not getting it....she needs better acquaintances

i did say that he was a schizo bi polar and actually it was the mood disorder part at the end that i said was bi polar....the combo of both causes him to hear voices...he swears that ppl are talking to him standing in line when they don't see either...have you ever seen a bi polar schizo??i am terrified of him

She has been under coverage for how many days now, so I have not seen any black outs or examples of her loosing time.

I am surprised by your degrading comment about the "shrinks". How do individuals in your profession react to being called ambulance chasers?
At this conjuncture we can only make opinions(which sometimes should be kept to ourselves). Natalie could be playing one of the best games ever on BB. She is sure playing the role of a "uneducated" person. But also in viewing some of the actions of others, such as James. He can appear to be very immature at times. Such as the time he plopped down on the sofa and acted like a small child while laughing and pulling himself into the fetal position at the end of a veto ceremony.
None of us, no matter the educational background we have are able to make an exact diagnosis with the edited and limited time we have watching the individuals.

ummm Jane, i hate to be the bearer of bad news here, but it doesn't take a college grad to be able to learn what the words matriarchal and patriarchal mean. I hate James just as much as the next guy, but i'm pretty sure that whether or not he went to college has nothing to doing with learning the meanings of those words. I, myself hold 2-4 year degrees (double masjor) from a very good college, and can swaer on my diploma that going to college didn't help me learn those words. MY POINT IS that was just a really insulting and rude comment. In addition, there is nothing wong with a community college. Some people can't afford "YALE". Oh yes, one other thing, you talk about Nat going to a community college for art....like it's the worst thing on earth....Clearly, you aren'y very cultural. I'm so sorry for you, as you are really missing out on life, being so narrow minded.
divr - I can't follow what you are talking about. I never said Natalie was blacking out. I said perhaps she was in some sort of a "black out" (this is a blog not a clinical team meeting) when she performed the sex acts and truly doesn't remember.
It's pure speculation. We're not making medical diagnoses, we are chatting about people who let themselves be filmed 24/7 (that alone is probably criteria for some disorder, or should be). Although I agree none of us can make an exact diagnosis from watching them, I will say we have far more exposure to these people than an average mental health professional does before making a diagnosis. Yes, I realize they are not acting "normally" because they are playing a game - the same can be said for lot of people who walk into a docs office.
As for the shrink/ambulance chaser issue - I don't know what Charlie does for a living, or what you do. I am credentialed as both a clinical therapist and a lawyer, but I'm not treating or representing anyone here, I'm chatting on a blog. Shrinks call themselves shrinks all the time and any lawyer who gives a damn about being called an ambulance chaser is too sensitive to be in that line of work.
j - sorry you were offended but you took it the wrong way. I agree you don't need a college education to know the words matriarchal and patriarchal, that's probably about 5th grade, which is why it surprised me that none of them knew the words.
As for community college, I think it’s great it just so happens I went to art school when I was Natalie's age. I was responding to people who keep saying Natalie should be smarter because she has 3 years of college. I posted another response somewhere.

Who cares where she went to school? The point is I really do Not think she's acting when needs to know the definition of word. She's is indeed a very rude, selfish and has no class, she thinks the only way to get attention is by using her body. eeewwww. And she's getting a little to old to be doing that.And let's not forget that GOD did tell her when she was a child that she was the "CHOSEN ONE". Enough said :)
