Food Comp
FEEDS ARE BACK -
Ryan's on Slop, Sheila's on slop. James is on slop...
Apparently everyone but Adam is on slop... Well, Adam and Natalie, being HoH. Sharon's opting not to use her pass - in solidarity with the others...
Adam: It's not like I caused the whole house to go on slop...
Sheila: This is my 3rd time on slop.
Adam: You've been on slop every time there was slop. hehehe.
James: I'm just gonna do real basic sh*t... choke it down.
Joshuah: It's not that bad. I can live on coffee and protein shakes...
Natalie: What is wrong with you people? i still don't understand.
They're discussing how they over-thought the comp and blew it.
The boys are now taking their frustrations out on defenseless watermelons... with giant croquet mallets...
Ryan, Adam and James anyhow.
Josh abstains, not wanting to get dirty.
Here's a clip of right after the comp:

The live feeds went to Trivia 11 minutes ago at 11:18am BBT. The food comp is very likely getting underway... I'll be here to let you know, just in case they some of this one on the feeds, as they did another food comp a couple weeks ago.
If not, the results will go within this post as they become available.
1:09pm BBT - Still Waiting!! Still Trivia! Come on already...

Good Afternoon Carolyn:
Just wanted to thank you on your wonderful job!!
PSS..I miss the coffee also (I just came back last week from Miami last weekend-when it was record breaking 90 degrees)..wish I was still there.
Carolyn... don't you think it;s odd that CBS didn't post the results of the competition before the live show? The questions they asked. Now if thy did it it's no use... but seriously... at least let us know how we voted because I answered different to every question and answer they gave. And so did everyone else I know!
I was hoping they had just done away with food comps. I can't quite understand the point of "slop" anyway. It doesn't make the show more entertaining to watch a bunch of people whine about not being able to eat, and after the allergic reactions and fainting--you'd think they'd just let it go.
If CBS withholds food just to make people snap faster, then just give them more alcohol.
Are they just held to fill up an extra hour each week on TV?
Also, considering that endurance comps usually follow-isn't it kind of unfair for the hg's on slop leading up to it? Kind of like punishing them all over again.
First things first..
I WANT JAMES TO WIN.. (i know he's probably leaving this week)
... but if Natalie was smart she wouldn't put up James just yet. If she puts him up that just gives him the opportunity to WIN POV (which he will)..
TAP, TAP, TAP!!
*waiting patiently*
Little prediction time:
James is gone next
Sharon wins next HOH
Puts up Ryan and Adam
Bananarama are taking over and any xy chromosomes are endangered species.
Only way to stop it if James/Josh negotiate with Ry and Baller to evict one the the lovelies.
yours in voodoo
charlie
I cant wait to see who is on slop! Will be checkin in between contracts! :0)
GOOOOOO ADAM!! LOL!!
Scary bunnies - Totally disagree!! They are living in a cushy house and bed and showers..think about Survivor - no food; looking for food. They are lucky that they even get slop..got to make something difficult.
I have some questions about last nights show.
First- It seemed like production was trying to either garuntee SHiela with a win or a loss... the first few questions were ALL about her... what does everyone think?
Second- Julie Chen kept referring to Chelsia as JAmes' GIRLFRIEND, not "house girlfriend" like she has done in seasons past... do you think there is any chance they knew eachother before and are not revealing it? I highly doubt the Chen-bot would make such a terrible mistake! haha!
And finally- RE: Scary Bunnies
I think the effect slop has on the game is not so much evident for the at home viewers, but is more of an in house thing. First- you have to remember that the HGs have NO entertainment so another competition gives them something to do, and also as in any competition, it might exploit sides of the house to other HGs. Also, slop is just another way for production to control things. If they don't want someone to do well in a veto competition or want them to be weak for the following week's HOH they might select a game that they feel the HG might do poorly at, thus puttin them at a disadvantage.
I did too PYKE.
Just woke from a nap and had a BB moment... What if Sharon got with the "good" side on the food comp and intentionally threw it?
She does have that slop pass.
Amazing what a little sleep can do for the mind.
;)
pyke- I don't necessarily think when they asked the questions to the houseguests that they used the people with the highest votes in that category but just two people and which did America think was more likely, kwim? Does that make sense? Kind of like how we voted to bring someone back but it was just a chance for them to come back. It's loopholes in the questions.
anon@12:53 - i concur.
N2realitytv:
The only problem with that plan is that
A. We don't even know that this is going to be a slop week.. it could just be a win certain foods for the house competition
B. The biggest POV threat to James this week is definitley natalie (she has all the motivation in the world to win) and she cannot go on slop this week because she is HOH, so even if Sharon threw it, Natalie would still be well nourished.
C. The HGs don't always get to pick their teams, actually rarely do, so unless production asked Sharon in the DR if she would ever do anything like that (thus giving her the idea) and then WANTED James to have an advantage in the POV and selected teams that Sharon could throw it and put other people on slop.... probably not likely to happen.
On a side note- I would like to see a food comp like in All-Stars where everyone starts in the comp and the first person to answer a question right/catch a ball out of the air/etc is no longer on slop and gets to choose someone from the comp to go on slop and kick them out of the contest. That wouldnt work this late in the game tho.. not enough HGs! :-(
Anon @ 12:53- Yes!
OHhhhhh we also need to throw Omarosa and Piers into the BB house... now THAT WOUYLD BE GREAT TV! Maybe Gene Simmons too! haha!
Carolyn, I read in the FAQ's that the houseguests are told to stop singing. Why are they not allowed to sing?
Anon@1:04pm - All those underlined questions on the faqs page are meant to be clicked on - they lead to the answers.. Here's the one you mentioned: Why Can't the HGs Sing?
:)
stephen - i think they should put paris in there with her assistant...
Its a game quit over analyzing.
Carolyn- LOL! "Assistant- I need you to go on the block for me.... I really don't feel like doing it this week"
To idalee28:
There is only one person not playing for POV this week (since the numbers are down) so the odds that James would be that one person (not playing) aren't very good.
She's better off just putting him up.
idalee28--bit confused; you want James to win; you say he will win POV; but yet "he's probably leaving this week". Also totally disagree...hopefully Natalie will put up James (I really think she will put up Sharon & Josh); There are 7 people left..only 1 will not play POV..so percentage wise James was playing POV regardless. Can I assume that you're upset that Chelsia left also?
I'm seriously crossing my fingers and hoping that Josh and James go up. Sharon win POV and takes Josh off. Then replaces him with Sheila. That way she flips out and destroys their alliance AND she ends up getting the boot. That would be amazing.
James is most likely going to play in the POV anyway, because there are only 7 players left. DUH. So, it doesn't make a difference if she puts him up or not, he HAS to win the veto to stay in the house another week.
Ryan just said he is on slop! Still waiting for others...
Adam just said "Not like I caused the whole house to go on slop..." Not sure what that means but is whole house on slop?
Carolyn, I wouldn't be surprised if your page has hit 4 million yet. That would be from me refreshing every 5 seconds.
*blink* *blink blink* that's not a live chicken, is it?
LOL
Quick Question: If the person who wins Veto uses it to take someone off the block, can they be the person put on the block as the replacement?
i.e. Josh and Sharon on block. James wins Veto, James takes Josh down. Can James be put up in Josh's place or can he use it and still be safe?
Thanks!
Sharon's crazy if she doesn't use that slop pass this week...
Looks like Gallager, the comedian was host for the food comp. That explains his trademark watermellon mallets and all the melons. If you notice those are not the crocket mallets, cuz the head is squared, not rounded.
Who thinks that Ryan will DOR, or earn a penality nom for eating real food?
Sharon absolutely should use the slop pass. If the next HoH is a physical comp, then she will be the only one with extra energy.
Even if James doesn't go up on the block first thing...chances of him playing for POV are still HUGE...7 people left, HOH and 2 nominees play for POV, along with 3 others, so that leaves 1 person, most likely to host...i say put his @$$ up there and let him sweat it out for the week.
Sharon is not playing the game for herself, trying to please everyone else. Hope it works for her!
Scary Bunnies -- I totally agree! If I were Sharon, I would definitely use the Slop pass. It's not her alliance in the HOH position, and it IS possible that things could change, and people will want to break her and Josh up, even though they're not a real couple. You never know! She should stay strong to win the PoV or HOH! You can't take your safey for granted in this game!
