Reactions to the Premiere of Big Brother 9:
'Til Death Do They Part
I loved every minute of it. From the first words Julie uttered, to the reactions of the exes, to the excitement about the pairings, and even the lack of excitement from Sheila and Adam.
I thought Jen and Ryan did a great job of playing it very cool, with her asking him repeatedly for his name again. I'd bet on them being able to keep their secret(.... and I'd be wrong!!! watching the feeds now)
Sharon, on the other hand, was completely blindsided by Jacob's arrival. Jacob himself had to leave the room to collect himself. By the first commercial break, they hadn't said hello to each other, but Sharon had already begun to bond with the other women in the house over it.
Then Julie dropped the bomb:
"Each one of you has a perfect match sitting in this living room right now. Someone who could very well be your soul mate. For the 1st time in BB history, you'll be playing the game not as individuals, but as partners with your soul mate. You'll compete, be HoH, nominated and evicted as couples. Including sleeping together in the same bed."
I thought it was sweet that Jacob was hoping Sharon would be his soul mate. And interesting that Jen and Ryan suddenly both got very nervous about the twist now, with Jen saying, "If we're not paired up together, this screws up everything."
Then Julie announced the soul mates:
- "Alex, I now pronounce your soul mate to be Amanda.
James, meet your new soul mate, Chelsia.
Natalie - (the bikini barista) & Matt - (the construction hunk).
Jen - you've been found to be most compatible with Parker.
Joshuah, you're love match is Neil.
Jacob & Sharon. Good luck.
- "This is gonna be a long ass 3 months - Sharon
Then Julie dropped another bomb, and let them know the beds were now all taken, and the rest of them would be sharing sleeping bags together. And the last remaining matches were Ryan and Allison, which left Sheila and Adam.
Here's a little clip of how well Sheila and Adam get along. ;) Adam's a real lady killer, as indicated by his immediate words of endearment, "It's you and me, Ma." Yeah, there's the way to a woman's heart. And the fighting begins. Adam is wearing on Sheila's last nerve. He can't stand her either. Actually, they're disgusted with each other.
Along with our own videos this season, we're fortunate to be able to feature clips provided by one of your faves, xx2000xx who has teamed up with a gentleman by the name of Dr. Detroit in his own blogging venture for BB9, bbcouchpotatoes.
Blah Blah Blah... FEEDS ARE NOW LIVE!!!!
Spark em up, folks!

OK, I'm confused. I thought that Jen and Ryan weren't supposed to let others know they were together. I'm watching BBAD and they are talking about it in HoH. Did I misunderstand Julie when they introduced us to Jen and Ryan?
I really liked it, very engaging and they all seem pretty likeable so far except for Sheila/Adam!
Yeah I don't like Sheila at all.
She's acting like she's HAS to have a relationship with this guy. She has to play a game with him not have sex with him or marry the guy. If she keeps acting this way she's not going to last.
"I'd bet on them being able to keep their secret."
Check the feeds. That's a bad bet.
Oh my! Drama, drama, drama! My head is spinning! Wow, the feeds are pretty intense!
I agree 100 % boston chick... Shelia is being so rude about it all. Big disappointment!
In case my earlier didn't make it: Sheila HAS to get over herself. I don't like how she came across at all.
And I hate to say it because it means I'm getting older and/or frumpy, but am I the only one who felt that the first comp was a bit lewd?
