The Sunday Show Review
As a live feed viewer, this was one of the most frustrating episodes of TV Big Brother I've ever witnessed. It was just one misrepresentation after another to the tv audience. What's the point of that? Why lie to them? What follows is a point by point rundown...
"At the last moment Ryan and Allison switched their votes." What line of bull are they selling the tv only audience?? Allison engineered Amanda and Alex's demise single handedly!
Will they show the alleged threats? Nope.
Interesting that AGP chose to paint the whole thing between Josh and Allison as a gay issue. Nothing to do with actual fact, but interesting.
On the plus side, they are doing a good job of portraying the tension between Allison and Ryan. And they're giving her a very honest edit... though her fans will surely disagree with me on that.
Back from commercial and into bed with Matt and Natalie... from the first week of the feeds?! Come on! What are you trying to pull here? A little honesty with the tv only folks. 5 minutes after he blew her off in that sequence, the story changed considerably, and the entire internet witnessed it and heard the slurping.. henceforth forever known as Hummergate! Uch. Please. Talk about revisionist history.

Back from commercial and back to Alex and Amanda's last week - with Natalie painting Joshuah. Sigh. TV only's, you're being played... again.
House meeting minus Allison and Ryan, followed immediately thereafter by Allison trying to work Josh. We know the real result - he still hates her. Let's see how AGP edited it. OK, good. They were honest about one thing for the tv only viewers.
This episode is driving me nuts.
I'm surprised by the nomination ceremony. There's no way Josh was that diplomatic with Allison. No way in the world. Then again, why should I be surprised by any edit anymore?

What did Josh's coming out/gay comment have to do with anything?
I can't believe that, is it this fake every year? I've watched all seasons, but I only started getting involved in the blogs of live feeds recently, basically because of my after dark addiction in season 8.
That segment was what swiss cheese would look like in reality tv form: hole-y and stinky! What the heck? Did they use scissors and paste to edit this show. Geez...
ps......btw this has to be one of if not the most outrageous cast and season! I dont know how they paired up these personalities but its been a little scary watching when ive been able to and catching up with your video clips..! anyways thank you again so much..you are amazing and this truly is the best big brother site! Mo - What did they show Josh saying TO allison? I went to turn up my tv, and turned it off for a few seconds by accident.
They are showing Joshua to be the jerk that he is! Hooray for editing it right! Also, why is he making this whole thing a gay thing? Allison is far from innocent but Josh is an a$$.
He said that he's going to make her life a living hell. Didn't threaten her life though. (What they just played in blue btw)

I think it is Adorable how they like fail to mention like how alison totaly ADORES these people and had nothign to do with the tail spin last week. She has had there back from like day one and really means it. LOL

How Josh can blame Allison and not Sheila over the 'Lesbian Issue' is ridiculous. There is also no code about outing as he said, and with NO code, it certainly isn't as high as the bible.
He (Josh) is blowing this all out of proportion. He turned on Allison, which is fine, it's a game. But he should use this as his excuse/reason for his unacceptable outbursts and treatment of now two women in the house.

What is up with putting the pinky promise up from week one?! Doesn't even fit! They need to show how aggressive Matty really is about avoiding attachment when Nat wants attention, such as the giant make out in the pool with everyone but her. Or any other time he declines even a hug from her in public. Or not sleeping with her lately.

i should've known to only watch the last minute because the rest is all lies by big brother. Joshua finally exactly said why he dislikes Alison. "She not only lied TO me, she lied ABOUT me, she's a manipulator and a backstabber, and for those reasons alone, she needs to go home".
monyc; Alison was to blame for amanda and alex's eviction.. she (alison) was going to vote more matt and nat to leave until she decided to spin it around and evict a&a. sheila and adam always said matt and nat had their vote, so they didn't lie and manipualte people to get their way.
Well...good thing is we saw exactly what Josh said to Allison...which tells us Allison is the biggest liar ever put on the show..

LMAO seeing a clip that happened on Feb 17th between Matt & Natalie cuddling in bed made me bust a gut..I laughed so hard..THAT was the begining of "Hummergate"..and tv viewers see it March 2nd...interesting...LOL
I liked the edit to be honest..
we have no idea if he did or did not say that....its called an edit and obviously BB would never put it on tv if HE DID say it...cause then theyd have more bad press,....specially since kicking Justin out for a joke about it....and to someone that wasnt threatened at all...
we shall never know till interviews..
I really don't get why anyone is surprised about anything vis a vis the editing. I really don't.
The show is not about reality. It has nothing to do with reality. It is about storylines and characters that the producers have created (with the assistance of the participants) to make for drama.
If something goes along with the storyline they have created and has good footage, it's used. If it doesn't fit the narrative (so and so is good, so and so is bad, etc.) then it's ditched.
It is kinda strange how (like the Nick's man crushes last year) something from weeks earlier was tossed in where it was convenient.
And Josh ... Oooh, how this kid gets my dander up for more reasons than I can count! I'd go into detail, but I don't wanna pop a blood vessel in my head.

Will I have to check up on my fiction shows now to see how they cut it? OMG they are really portraying what they want to, instead of what really is. This show has consumed so much of my freetime since I got the feeds.
I didn't see this pointed out anywhere else, but did anyone notice that they dropped the "Till Death Do You Part" from the title of the show and now it is just "Big Brother" again ?
I think that's a hint that they are going to split the couples up soon.
I never realized how "fake" the CBS show is - they spin it to whatever outcome CBS wants. The show on Showtime is WAY better then the show on CBS - I feel there was WAY too little of James this week (guess all the naked and underware scenes with him didn't help) He is the only exciting thing on this show!!! And yes I am a female
As probably the only Allison fan on earth (don't kill me, I'm a fan, but she's still very annoying), I think it was a reasonably fair edit of the war. She's a manipulator. Yep. That doesn't make Josh any less of a major rat's ass (my real feelings edited for prime time).
And btw - I don't buy his whole anger with the lesbian alliance because it's an offense to gay people. It was an offense to him because he got played last week and found a better excuse.
We can all agree the lesbian alliance was an "asinine" move on Allison's part, but I don't see how describing a really positive relationship between two women denegrates gay people. Allison may be a liar, but she's not a bigot. Josh really needs to get his hatred straight.

James is called to the Diary Room and he said, "Sheila and Adam were put up as a pawn, but the house may turn, its gonna be up to me, and right now im gunning for Allison and Ryan to leave."

Ewwww…so much to say…
Allison dug her own hole. She went against the house (like completely, like 100 percent) and gambled on a plan of action that was against the odds. She turned on her closest allies in the game all in a premature attempt to avenge Amanda for the “torture chamber” she put her through, keep Mat, and gain power. It was a big mistake and she has no one to blame but herself. Had she gone with the plan she committed to, she would not have been in the hot seat this week. After not winning HOH she started up with this disappointing “soar loser” crap that was very tiresome. She blamed Ryan, Matt, Josh, Sheila…anyone she could manage other than herself. She also tried to provoke Josh quite a bit knowing that he has a short temper…but luckily he was on to her. Nice try strategically on her part, but it was a no go.
The TV show was pretty pathetic. Everything was edited so strangely you have to wonder why they would even go that route. Allison was stringing the house along for the entire time Alex/Amanda & Matt/Nat were on the block. She cut a deal with Matt and made the decision to flip back and forth between game plans several times openly. She taunted Amanda and Alex and strung Josh and Sharon along as well. None of that was shown. The whole house told her that they were all in agreement that Matt and Nat should go, and she basically told them all to screw themselves. That wasn’t shown either.
The truth is that Allison made a silly move to evict Alex and Amanda based on an alliance she made with Matt/Nat and her personal resentment for Amanda. She was once aligned with Joshua and Sharon (as she herself has stated) and flipped on them (and Chelsia/James. She kept the strongest player in the house and decreased everyone’s chances of making it farther…that is why Josh was angered. Also, she did lie about the lesbian thing and it obviously ticked Josh off (can’t say I blame him) but that wasn’t the main offense.
Oh yeah…and I am proud of Joshua for keeping his temper under wraps even under provocation. I was really put off by his vicious statements towards Amanda regarding the noose. I was also put off by Chelsia’s continual comments…but Josh apologized to Amanda and Amanda forgave him and I believe he learned a lesson from it. What more can you ask for? He is playing with good strategy, which is more than I can say for a lot of the other HG’s and he pulled up his game rather nicely by winning HOH. He has really grown on me…and I appreciated him talking about Allison’s lesbian “joke” and how it really wasn’t that funny and even offensive to some.
While it sucks that they put the early stuff in, and rearranged the editing - we should be used to it. I'm just glad they didn't edit Allison to be a victim. She got an honest edit tonight, and it was good to see what the "threat" actually was (and wasn't. Heh.)
Can't wait to see her GONE.

I agree about Josh and the fact that he actually apologized to Amanda... this is something neither Chelsia has done, nor any of the similar stupid statements said last year by other HGs... they did not apologize.
Also, I watched Josh last night as he was up by himself in the Jacuzzi and then cleaning up the backyard. He asked God for forgiveness for the bad things he had done in the house and personally... I think it says more when a person says something in a 'private' prayer rather than in front of other HGs... it seems more genuine. You can tell a person's character what they do when they think nobody is watching. Like a person walking a dog and ONLY picking up the poop while watched. Or a person who does a fender bender to another car when nobody is watching... what does is say when that person leaves a note, or not. Or a person who steals or cheats when they see nobody watching. I am sure you get my point. So as far as I have disliked Josh in this House earlier on... I find that he is one of the few who seemed to really feel bad about a certain thing.

haha great rock of love motif...but i agree with michelle...i said somehting about it last week, but james does seem to be a producer mole...he does know way too much sometimes, yet he did not know about the quotes...someone spoke up about Jericho's episode two weeks ago being called Condor...then boom operation condor comes out, then the hudson river virus, and james talking about it alot...and the blocks in the guinea pig cage, for once i do think they mean somehting, and james is the only one to care...
expect teh unexpected...james is infected, has to leave...is replaced.....comes back later...
i think we wil hear sirens more than once....it just makes sense...maybe one siren to make POWER COUPLE again..i mean since Julie said BB FIRST EVER power couple...this must mean there has to be another one right??
alas we will see.....i just hope the sirens mean the end to josh and sharon and their amber like ways...

You can't be serious... that you think it's the same when somebody says something, rather than actually hold a real knife to somebody's throat while both a stinking drunk. Sure, Krista thought he was playing... but this is not a joke... like Russian Roulette with a gun, a knife can damage do. FOR REAL. Not mere words that may sting one's heart and ego.

For everyone talking about Josh overreacting to the lesbian alliance, I would just like to put in my two cents... As a bisexual/lesbian I found this a little insulting. There is a very special bond in the LGBT community and it seemed to me like allison was trying to use this bond in order to gain Josh's vote. Not much unlike the threesome was a way to try to get votes. I don't think she was degrading to lesbians, just extremely demeaning...
So Cliff, are you in or out for the write in campaign to save Allison?

The fact that the show is edited to provide a storyline shouldn't be a surprise to anyone. CBS is worried about making money, and not telling the truth. Luckily we have the feeds and awesome sites like this one to keep us informed.
I, too, was worried about Allison getting a sympathetic edit. At least they showed both her and Josh being crazy.
The food comp was fun, though, and I loved when Sharon told Josh to invite everyone upstairs discreetly--and he did it right in front of Allison and Ryan. LOL!!
anyone know what chelsia and josh are talking about in the hot tube when she said you each get 30 minutes...but they mix up your sentences in case you are sending code..it had something to do with typing but what? and why?
not to be mean, but Justins threat was not a threat at all it was in jest....assault is the aprehension of imminenet bodily harm (im in law school), here allison felt that imminent bodily harm was coming, that was her aprehension, therefore there was an assault. There was no battery, battery is the actual physical bodily contact.
Krista did not have an apprehension of harm, she thought it was a joke, and actually played along...
here allison felt that she was in danger...and therefore, Josh committed a crime...if it is as Allison says it is...
therefore even if it did go down as allison said, we would never know.
because of this..what josh did, if it did go as allisonc laims, is assault and WORSE than what Justin did...

I know the law too... and have plenty of experience with violence against women. And I guess this is why CBS took such different actions in both cases.

BTW - Chelsia DID apologize to Amanda for the noose comment the night it happened. It was while Allison was being 2faced sympathetic on the kitchen floor with her. She apologized for making that comment, and that comment alone.
Just so you know -- they didn't show Josh's threat to Allison on tonight's show. She specifically said that it happened when they were outside for the HoH competition. She believed the threats were actually shown "live" on national tv (A didn't realize they'd gone to commercial).
I hope they're setting up the M/N kiss sequence for a sequence of M lecturing N about not talking.
Great cast... non-stop action... even if it is only James hitting Matt with his sock.

I am amazed that the show stopped at 8.53 PM. Don't they have enough to fill the time with?
i feel the show was edited to make it look like allison is the victim and josh is the bad guy. it was too one-sided in my opinion. as for the threat, i do not believe he actually threatened allison nor do i believe she felt threatened in any way. she wanted to say she felt threatened in hopes josh would be kicked out of the house and she would not have to worry about going home this week. she is a lying, manipulative b***h and i can't wait for her to leave. i am so worried that the liars in the house are going to keep her around another week. i am so tired of watching her. she disgusts me in every way. i dislike her as much as i disliked amber last season and believe me, that is ALOT. i like ryan and i wish he wasn't partnered with her.
as for the twist, i think they will split the couples up this week and possibly bring back 1 or 2 of the previously evicted houseguests. i don't think the alarm will go off til after the live show this week, though. they just warned them of it so early to get them all on edge, and it's working.
Did I actually see Hummergate edited into a cute scene that was pretty darn chaste?

To echo what some of the others say about Josh being mad at Allison and not Sheila, I have to agree. His "explaination" did not explain anything at all to me. Also, he is so appalled at Allison claiming to be a lesbian and saying basically that it was wrong. So, does he think she's some kind of gay-basher or something? (Just wondering here). What does he say when she's tongue wrestling with Chelsia? Uggh. I can't stand him anymore.
i found it extremely amusing that since wednesday, they have been promoting a possible relationship between ryan and allison, yet once sunday came around it was all about allison and josh's big to-do. and b/c ive become obsessed with this site, i too realized the late night bit with matt and nat was discreetly edited to be something somewhat sweet instead of sexual. geez, that episode made me want to laugh. im glad you have this site, b/c i would be totally out of the loop. Good Job! :)
OK I didn't even watch last night's show but it's tivo'd so I'll watch it later I guess. Last season was the first time I saw live feeds and found this site and let me just say THANK YOU CAROLYN!! You do such an awesome job and (most of the time..lol) I agree with what you have to say about the situations and HGs. I am so glad that we have the chance to really see what's going on. What's the point of pulling the wool over viewers eyes?? The real story of the house is much more interesting then the edited verson, anyway! Oh and did you see on BuckHollywood that he has a link to here. So cool..love both of ya'll!!
WOW! I couldn't have said it better myself carolyn! I thought I was the only one yelling at the tv last night! lol. The show is painting a completely different picture than what is really going on inside the house. I must also say that if it wasn't for BB9Dish (which I just recently discovered and had wished I learned of it years before) I would be falling for all the bull crap that only the tv audience see's. Did you catch the commercial before the show where they hinted that Allison and Ryan would perhaps hook up? And that they like each other? ..That is so far from the truth. He know's she's a liar and we all know it too, the tv audience needs to know it as well..they only get a small portion of the damage that is being done. With all of that said, I want to thank you Carolyn for keeping me and everyone else updated. Thank you =)
I felt like Allison was mocking gays with her "lets pretend to be lesbians" cause as she went along making up the scenerio she was laughing. But this was difficult for Josh because he had such a difficult time to let those he loved know he was gay. He may have been met with a great deal of rejection.
That plus Allison has made a fool out of everyone in the house on personal issues instead of focusing on the game.
For me it seems a first in BB history and geniune whacko job, this girl appears more and more to have some serious personality disorders in my opinion.
