James' Reaction to Winning PoV

Are you kidding me. James is putting himself up on a pedastal. He is getting a bit to cocky. I hope someone gets HOH next week and gets rid of him or Josh. They seem to think they have this game in the bag. I would love to see them go down in flames.

I don't understand why people think that James is being particularly cocky now. I also don't think he's on a power trip. He was lied to by people in the house and they for some reason voted him back in. I think he's acting well within reason here.

I actually think that James is being great after winning HoH, I was expecting a lot more terror this week, and everyone's actually getting along much more now than ever before.

IMHO, James, whether you like him or not, is not only an intelligent young man, but he is playing the game pretty brilliantly. It makes sense he would keep the noms the same, since he made them originally. It wouldn't surprise me if he felt "backdooring" Matt would be tantamount to going back on his word to Nastalie, and he has a made a huge point of showing the rest of the HGs that he is a man of his word. He knows Sheila lies to him (among others), but isn't much of a threat in winning HoH or PoV, so he can keep her around and keep an eye on her. (The whole house could even make Sheila a "Kael" and keep putting her up on the block to keep her off-balance -- mentally and emotionally.) Ryan became a target when he backdoored James, and he could be a potential threat to James in winning competitions, so it only makes sense for James to target Ryan for eviction; Ryan's eviction also (without putting Matt up on the block -- as he promised Nastalie) effectively cuts off a major support Matt had been enjoying. Although Matt's ego would never allow him to admit it, he is still around thanks in large part to Sheila's lies and Ryans support. BTW, has anybody noticed how Adam has come out of his shell now that the rest of the house has discovered what he has been putting up with in having to deal with Big Sheila?!!?!!

He's being smart. He isnt screwing with Natty, the deal he made with her, and he isnt screwing with his own alliance of him/chelsia/josh/sharon.

Next week, who ever doesnt go this week HAS to go. I dont like either Sheila or Ryan very much. Or adam for that matter.
Everyone else makes for good TV. ;)

Lauren, I think that if folks were honest, they'd admit that they don't like James, so whatever it is he does, they view it through a lens of dislike. What they really wanted didn't happen, and now James is the target of their ire because things didn't go according to their wishes. Just my humble opinion, of course. I dislike Matt and Natalie and Sheila (and to a lesser extent, Ryan) so strongly, that I've found it VERY hard to swallow that they're all still around. But I'm not the deity in charge here, and I realize that the point of the game is that I don't know what will happen and I can't control it. I think a lot of people don't really get that, and that's why they're behaving so oddly about James' actions since returning.

you wanna know what i think is sooo funny is how james can sit there and say "I dont want people to be playing the game like backdooring and all that shit" and he is going to go in the HOH room and make deal with Ryan and telling him alog with a few others that he will give him two weeks safety if they take chelsia off and backdoor matt...HE AND JOSH NEED TO GO!!! they are both retarded!!

Woo Hoo so happy here that Sheila might stay, good for her talking about her son all the time, that way he knows she is thinking of him. Geez if she didn't talk about him we would be putting her down for it now wouldn't we????

Kim at 7:31 -- it seems to me that becoming involved in a game such as BB9 should include the knowledge that things are not going to be "just the way" you think they should be. After all, a program whose main mantra is "expect the unexpected" could hardly be expected to be "run of the mill" or to abide by any individual "standard" of right/wrong or good/bad. If you check the clip from the first week Julie mentioned the vote, you will find she did use the word "chance" in talking about an evicted HG coming back. It appears to me that they didn't inform the HGs about the previous evictees' lack of knowledge because the whole point was to see if the HGs would go for a "known" (James) or an "unknown" (which evicted houseguest and what might they know). I hope you don't continue to feel your input (by way of voting) was a waste. You did participate, and the HGs decided not to go with the person you (or any of us) voted for. BB9 had no responsibility in the HGs making a choice for a "known" over an "unknown," nor did they hold a gun to your head and force you to vote for anybody to have the "chance" to come back. Please try to appreciate the fact you were given an opportunity to participate and enjoy the program for what it is -- entertainment. Please enjoy. I think if you accept things as they come, you'll find #9 really is a pretty good season on BB.

Thank you. That I was the most levelheaded explaination I have seen. I am not fuming mad, I jsut didn't like it. It is after all just a game. And to be honest I am glad it worked out the way it did. I just felt bad for the peopel who put a lot of time and effort in the voting process that feel liek their votes don't count. My feedback to the was a clam, collected, version of "I didn't enjoy that expereince and allows us to be be able to participate in something that our votes are guarenteed to count towards in-play action". That was it. I just wanted to let those that wanted the same oppotunity know how they could do it. Thanks again for you persepctive. I do't feel so discouraged and will possibly participate in another vote if available.

You're welcome. And just so you won't feel alone, Ryan feels the same way. He felt his week as HoH was a waste of his time. (He forgets that Josh/Sharon could feel the same way since he came back after being evicted with Alison.) Kinda reminds me of "Dallas" and Bobby's whole-season dream. ;)
