Speaking of the love triangle, Alex couldn't have gotten a worse edit on this episode. They managed to show only one side of him, and it wasn't the good one we see on the feeds every day. Come on, Grodner, cut him some slack. You're betting on him being your leading man and wooing back Amanda once Parker's gone - a gentler, fairer edit might even get the tv onlys rooting for it.
As well and fairly edited as the Sunday show was, they really dropped the ball on this one.
Ah well. can't win em all.
Back to the real show we go... the live feeds, that is. ;)

So, what are we supposed to notice about the rubik's cubelike toy in the cage? They showed it a million times. Seems like it had 3 yellows, 3 blues, 3 greens, but only 2 reds. What does it mean?
The lead in into the Blow Up. They are actaully making Amanda look a little better but I really can't stand her. It is her voice I think. She comes across as being as dumb as a rock (plus I think she really is)

I agree. Alex was one of my favs. Not so much now. I also don't like Jen. SHe can be such a *itch! She was plain mean to Parker to the POV. There is a MUCH better way to try to inspire and cheer someone on.

I don't trust her and I think she uses her dad's story to gain sympathy and possibly make people "think" she is telling the truth.
I have my suspicions of why she told these strangers her dads story, especially as early on as she did. Attention, empathy, manipulation, or maybe just stupidity.
The whole blowup a few nights ago really didn't get to me. The way she handled herself was definitely something positive.

The editing in this show is really going against what I have seen all week in the feeds. Amanda has been trashing everyone in the house to the point where she was almost outcast. They are making Alex very creepy.

I feel bad for both Alex and Amanda...neither of them know how to handle each other...silly kids. It's like the little boy who steps on the little girl's foot because he likes her.
I know Alex does have some jealousy issues, but he has a good rhyme, but the wrong reason about being intimate with others in the house. "Getting" with others first, takes your mind off the game and second it complicates the relationship with your own partner. While playing as couples, I think one of the keys to surviving is being able to get along with and work well with your partner.
I know his reasoning was out of jealousy, but he's got something right. He needs to get over Amanda and start playing a strategic game. I'm just not sure if I like him enough to make me forget who is partner is; I want her evicted!
Yes, I believe Amanda's telling the truth. But I also think she has major issues to work out in real life about her dad.

First big mistake made by Alex's side of the house: Not using the vet to take Parker and Jen off the block. They could have had the numbers in their favor if they had only done the math.

they didn't explain why Sharon and oh...what's his name? LOL her ex were sequestered for three days after their eviction either. There also wasn't an interview with the on house calls or anything. They just happened to be standng outside the door when Neil had to leave and Josh had to pick a player to replace him...hmmm. any ideas?
So true, Doc Rocket. And I think that that was what the producers were trying to convey with this episode: Their awkward love triangle relationship but I think that last segment came across as sketchy, creepy, and stalkery.

I've watched the live feeds since day one and Amanda was playing 2 men...Amanda was to blame for Alex's confusion..she sent him mixed messages...at night alone with him she was flirting and cuddling..pillow fighting..it almost looked like foreplay..
When she decided she liked Parker better she made Alex out to be something he wasn't..even implied he "molested" her..
That episode made Amanda look like an angel..and a "victim"..which she is not..
Did not like it!!!!

What the biggest mystery to me is that people are so offended and disgusted by what Alex said and did, but last season they were the same people that defended Dick's actions against Jen.

OK...good episode. Rant time!
1. What the frick happened with Neil!?! I mean give us a little bit more info...show Neil saying goodbye, something! This is jus allowing people who are gossiping about him being involved in a twist to keep going with their ideas...not gonna lie, I do enjoy them, but still...we need closure! Also, I am surprised that they did not show any of the video of Joshuah being completely devestated by the fact that Neil left. Probably because he was showing emotion, and CBS wants him looking as crappy as possible when they show America how large his fangs are tomorrow. Oh well, Joshuah's popualrity will be taking a nice nose dive tomorrow!
2. Alex = WEIRD!? Which is sad since he is a really good guy as we can see on the live feeds. I feel bad for the dude. Oh yea, and Amanda is the victim in the whole stalker/jealousy angle. Again, prepping her to look like the ultimate victim come the blowout tomorrow. Granted it was messed up what happened to her, but still...as the anti-thesis to Joshuah, populatiry up! I love editing...thank God I come here to find out what is actually going on!
3. Well...this is not specifically show related, but I jus gotta say it. Does anyone else find it hilarious that Parker is so pissed off at the cameras following him? He spends his life as a Papparazzo! This is called irony Parker, and it is smacking ya across the face! Whew...much better!

I think Alex got the fairest edit possible. What's Grodner to do, make him out to not be jealous when that's clearly been the root of just about every piece of drama in the house. Parker-James fight...Alex jealousy started it. Josh-Amanda fight...Alex jealousy started it. Amanda-Josh fight...Alex jealousy started it.
I know why most of the visitors here have sided with him, but he treats her awful and was extremely creepy when they showed him watching her on the cam after she left the room. The main thing that gets me is his blatant hypocrisy displayed in his DR. He says Amanda shouldn't play the game with emotions but his ENTIRE GAME since getting HOH has been on his emotions: anger and jealousy of Parker and Amanda. Everything he's done the past few days has been an emotional move, like when he said they shouldn't get physical with anyone else in the house. After tonight, I really can't stand him, I hate Jen and I love Amanda. No one's perfect but she's only guilty of talking about her problems to too many people.
Editing or no editing Alex said what he said. I guess he thought since BB put them together it was set in stone, Amanda would automatically want him and they would have a physical relationship. Where did he come from Fantasy Island. Yeah he's cute but you have to have a personality and being a gentleman would help also.

so who all thinks that tomorrow night BB will introduce an Americas twist...if it involved an HG it is DEFINITELY SHEILA...no one act as bad as she does...even though they all thought her crying was a good job...hint hint...she wanted to do that....if she has to do something with the producers she doesnt....hence her...OH MY GAWD like 8 times when she found out jen and ryan were dating...very bad....
but if its not an HG>..what is it? does America get a vote and so do the HoH??? that would give parker and jen enough votes to stay.....or atleast tie....i think BB wants parker and jen to stay for the drama....ryan is too quiet,,though hes my boy.....and allison is just plain dumb (thinks shes so smart, but actually playing herself out of the game)..and allison is not pleasant to the eyes..although she beats sharon...barely
I will be honest, when James was talking about that thing in the cage, I laughed. My rabbit actually has the same toy, and I found it funny that it seemed he thought that they made it four colors to represent the four couples.
I was disappointed with this episode though. I am really not digging BB9 much.
haha I didn't mean I knew the exact reason, I meant he's definitely the "looker" of the guys, is pretty well-spoken and when he talks he seems to have a good moral compass (stop walking around half naked and respect yourself). The guy is likable. But I don't like him because of the way he treats his partner and how smooth he's able to turn stuff against her. Gotta give him credit like with the whole James thing (although the way it was shown, I now understand why she blew up on James. Alex did make it sound like James brought them up before later clarifying)

Amanda got a WAY too favorable edit tonight. That sets up showing the house trashing her on the next TV show, and making it look even more unfair to Amanda.
I do think the house (especially Josh and Nat) were overboard, but Amanda did have a beat down coming to her - just maybe not that harsh.
Amanda and Parker are my two most annoying hamsters right now, with Jen a close third.

Re: Alex/Amanda edit. I really don't think he came out looking terribly badly. Yeah, it made him seem a little jealous, but I thought it was a fair edit and didn't make him look bad (not in my eyes). He seemed like a flawed human being with feelings, which is more than I can say for how most of the others come off.
I am really starting to see what people have against Amanda now, though.
More than anything else, though, I'm really uncomfortable with her. Without being explicit in my armchair analysis, in between the baby doll voice, arrested in adolescence, the neurotic need for sexual attention (not to mention Natalie's similar condition) make me frightened about how they got there.
All in all, very sad.
On a lighter note: Um, couldn't have someone have told Natalie about the lipstick on her teeth? (I will not go for the obvious joke there.)
And I loved how they worked the whole drama out of what started with the "lesbian alliance" thing. Either it's very accurate or am excellent editing job.
Am just really scared about tomorrow's show and how they're gonna do the whole "Julie discusses the drama with the involved parties while they smile awkwardly on the couches."

1. My husband said "Alex is creepy watching her on that TV"...It made me so mad!!! That is NOT what happened. If I remember correctly after that convo Amanda was all over Alex trying to cuddle w/ him for like 15-20 mins and Alex said he is not cuddling b/c he has feelings..THAT is when she got up and went down stairs. They totally made Alex look bad (wags finger at production)
2. I am a conspiracy theorists so this is total conspiracy @ Neil: He was totally turned off by Joshua. Judging by Neil's myspace he is very concerned w/appearances and Josh DEF is not on the same level as Neil. Neil is very physically fit and Josh is very chubby, Josh is not LA at all, he has no fashion sense what so ever, they are just 2 different types that dont mix well....Since they did share a kiss the day of Neils's DOR I think Josh's breath was the stick. I think that they did not show Josh's reaction b/c they did not want to embarrass either of them. HG have said Neil was in the DR for hours and Shelia was talking to Alli right after it happened and said "they were probably trying to talk him out of, they talked me out of it"

funniest thing I can think of to say right now is..I heard Amanda on the live feeds say something along the lines of..she knows how they edit things on this show...that she could say I hate my shoes...then later say I love my hair..and it comes out on tv as I love my shoes...(not the words she used)..but is so fitting to prove a point tonight..

We all get so wrapped up in the game, it's kind of funny. Neil probably had a serious illness or death in the family. BB knew so they kept Sharon on deck as a possible replacement. If I were Neil and my parent had cancer (or whatever) I wouldn't want the world to know details. There would be lunatics calling and showing up at the poor guys home.

Oh, I could be wrong of course, but I think that toy was just a toy for the animals. There appeared to be a little ball in the center. They chew on those things, push them around. All those kinds of animals have toys for keeping their teeth healthy and for exercise. Just dramatic editing.

I have to agree with Cliff here. I don't think Alex looked bad...but it might just be because I have a complete perspective since I do watch the feeds.
I still think that both of them are good, decent people and am rooting for them both. They were going through a little tit for tat sort of thing at the time this stuff was recorded...he hurt her with words, she retaliated. She hurt him with actions, he retaliated. They are both flawed and both beautiful people for it.
You know, after Alex admitted that he tried to grope her (and apologized for it as well) she said she was very appreciative of his honesty. He could have denied it and made her look like a liar, but he didn't...and she realized it and was thankful. I think these two can pull it together. Sometimes the struggle brings us closer.
I'm soooo disappointed with BB this season as far as editing! They made Alex look like such a creep and stalker, and amanda like a goody 2 shoes when she's been the cause of most of the drama in the house! I really feel like not watching the CBS episodes anymore and just keep watching live feeds and showtime which shows what's really happening! So disappointing!
I think the way they do the pickings for the extra team playing the veto has been a little fishy to me.They should show everyone putting their chip into the bag.I sure hope that BB plays fair in this asspect.But has that ever been the case?

You are way off here in your analysis regarding the edit of Alex. I have never been into him, and I am still unclear whether he sexually violated Amanda nith his hand, and why you have totally gone pro-Alex after initially thinking him creepy, in your word. I thought he was portrayed as a very mature and sensitive guy with passion and feelings. He spoke of how he hadn't held Amanda in two days, which I found endearing. And he said "nipples", which struck me as mature for a 24 yo testosterone fueled Italian fellow from the outer boroughs of New York. The tv show turned me into a fan tonight.
Amanda on the other hand appeared to be a petulant child (didn't she call herself a good girl in her swueaky chld voice? spare me). She needs attention clearly, and she was totall shown to be a brat with a huge blabbermouth who appeared completely childish compared to mature Alex. He appeared hurt and disappointed.
And where on earth are Adam, James, Sheila and Chelsia? Are they even on this show?
I thought the episode was fair, but mostly a snoozer. And I do not get why Matt thinks he is so attractive. Total fugster. Weird looking guy. Wicked weird.

Meredith - I've never called Alex creepy - not once. In fact, the on;y time the word "creepy" appears in this blog is here: click. Someone by the name of Brent who commented on it called Alex "creepy"... not I.
My response to him was "brent - i prefer to think the best of people till i see with my own eyes and hear with my own ears not to..."

I know I am with the minority here but I think the edit of Alex was fair. He has been jealous and wanting to control Amanda (i.e. what she wears) simply because he really liked her from early on. He was watching the cam for some time that evening to see what was going on. Stalker? NO. Curious? YES!
I think the most scewed view is what BB shows the viewers of Matt and Nat.
And we all know... only-TV viewers never get the true story whatever it is.
Sorry if I am revealing too much and that this is a long post, but I have to clear up somethings about Amanda.If you really want to know what is really going on in this BB9, you need to watch the live feeds or visit the live feeds forum. Amanda is not the victim.
She has stated more than once that she only likes African American men(Parker); however, when she is alone with Alex she is all over him and telling him something different. After these encounters with Alex, she then goes and tells other HG( Matt, Parker, or anyone that is near her)lies about Alex. At one point Alex did like her; however, he realized that she was just too immature.
In scenes of her and Alex you can clearly see that she is leading him on(playing cat/mouse).When Alex does not show any interest in her, she then starts flirting with him(flipping her hair, talking about Parker, wtc...) or she will put her legs on him/touch him.
Amanda wants to be with both Alex and Parker and tries to play them against each other. She is trying to play the HG against Alex because he told her that he wasn't playing "cat and mouse" with her anymore, to be honest about her feelings for Parker/not let that interfere with their game, and that she needs to stop telling everything that she hears. She didn't like what Alex had to say, so she mounted a crusade against him.
Secondly she accused Alex of touching her in an inappropriate manner, implying that he was "doing something to her against her will". This never happened, the touching was mutual. Amanda has twisted everything that has happened between she and Alex to make Alex look like a bully/stalker/pervert. He has tried to be patient and understanding with her, but she just keeps pushing the boundaries. I'm not saying that Alex is a saint, but I'm saying that he is not how BB9 has portrayed him through these edits.
Before you make judgements about Alex or any of the HG that have confronted Amanda, please watch these live feeds or visit the live feeds forums first. They always edit to make it appear that Amanda is the victim and that the other HG/Alex are picking on her for no reason.
The HGs are not buying her "victim" act, know that she is spreading some pretty nasty rumors about Alex, and that she starts the drama between HGs. They have had enough and the fight was a culmination of all the things that she has said/done to everyone.
It's not suprising that after the big fight and crying her heart out in the DR, she picks up right where she left off. Back to dissing Alex and starting mess between the other HGs. I know that they all do it, but it is Amanda that acts like she can do no wrong.
Check out the live feeds and forums because they are not going to show this on TV. Case in point, look what they did on Tues show. Many are disappointed in that they edited the scenes to show only one aspect(Amanda's) and made Alex look like the bad guy.
I don't know if this was already posted somewhere but it just clicked last night - Sharon and Jacob's eviction wasn't live was it? That would explain why they were sequestered - because they were evicted before the show aired saying that they were evicted. It was to protect the integrity of the show...
jsp - I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if somehow it twists and Parker and Jen end up staying. I'm not holding my breath, but I wouldn't be surprised because there is drama around them and you need drama w/ a reality show. I like Ryan, he seems sweet but I CAN'T stand Allison! What a slimy, grimy girl! Did anyone else hear on the show when someone was talking about the "lesbian alliance" that someone else said "I didn't know Ryan had a vagina?" lol See, other people see that she is into him. I hope if they end up staying and she keeps trying w/ him that he'll shoot her down hard! I know he has to be nice to her because they are partners but I'm a little sickened at how nice he has been to her! But maybe he's just a gentleman! lol
As far as the Neil situation is concerned, I still think he's coming back, I don't believe there was a family emergency, I believe this is a twist, if you check his personal myspace page all his closest friends AND family have left currents comments, last one dated Feb. 18 about how happy they are to see him on the show and how they're rooting for him. No one mentions anything about sorry for what you're going thru, etc. So I think this is a big setup by BB, to make everyone think he's not coming back and he really is!
I still love Alex. Funny how Amanda told everyone she liked Parker and didn't like Alex, EXCEPT for Alex. She continued to play him. She told everyone Alex violated her, EXCEPT for Alex. When Alex asked her straight up about Parker, she lied. Yeah, Alex was jealous, but he thought Amanda was his girl. I didn't realize how much Amanda liked Parker until last night's show. She should've just said that to Alex! I hope we can move on now...
CBS really dropped the ball on Matt/Nat. Show the truth!! Show Matt for the player he is. Why make him out to be someone he is not? What's the benefit in that? I mean he's a likable scumbag. His womanizing is entertaining. I don't get it. He would be great for the TV show.
I almost puked last night when they showed Jen and Ryan making out and then going in the potty to hump. Yuck. I'm not a Jen fan in the least, lol. I hope she gets booted and Allison whispers, boom I got your boyfriend, as she walks out the door.
This is only my 2nd real season of BB... but my fiance has been watching for many seasons... I know alot has been said about Amanda looking like Janelle.. and I thought I remember hearing that Janelle was going to have to do more with this season.. Any chance that Amanda is Janelle... with a little darker hair and some help from CBS!
