Tuesday Show Review
The Tuesday show begins in 10 minutes. Before it starts, I have to acknowledge this season of houseguests for the incredible abundance of material they're giving production to work with.
Say what you will, these guys are non-stop. I blog and recap their antics day and night, and they are far and away the most active cast we've seen in years.
Many of them are new to the game, and they're just getting into the swing of it, but they're pretty quick learners, and I'm just curious to see which moments the editors piece together for us tonight.
Please leave your show comments here... I'm taking an hour off the live feeds to watch.
- Even as I write this, I'm hearing Allison in the background on the live feeds telling Joshuah, "Alex and Amanda are lying. I don't trust them at all. Like 0%. That basically means that nobody is safe, whereas with Matt and Natalie, we have a guaranteed safe. Nothing they have said to you, nothing they will say to you will ever be true. And they're not campaigning is just Stupid." Josh comes back with "I'd rather have a stupid couple than a smart one..."
An interesting tale they chose to tell this evening: Big Brotherly Love. It didn't have a whole lot to do with what's actually going on in the house, but hey, does it ever?
I understand the reasoning behind it. Create protagonists. Make America love the new cast. Invest them in the future of the season by humanizing everyone... I get it.
Still, I can't decide who got off the hook the most with the tv-only watchers tonight, and should therefor win the honor of the Biggest Gloss/BS Edit of the night.
Should it be Chelsia, for her luck in them choosing not to show "She's faking. I guarantee it" as soon as Amanda hit the floor?
Or does Sheila get the prize this week, for her luck in them simply not having enough time to show her making it all about her once the girls got home from the hospital?
It's just too close to call.

anyone else a pansy and started to cry during the medical segment?
i sure did. :(
i can't believe they showed Amanda's entire ordeal!! gosh.
yea i was shocked they showed so much
IM: Nah... I knew what the result was so it really was more intrigue than anything upsetting.
As of this day, the 26th of Febuary, 2008 at nine forty five in the evening, Allison has become the BB9 House Guest that I, Ginger, detest the most. Her unwaivering snobby attitude and chipmunk like face will forever be the bullseye on my dartboard.
Signed,
Ginger
I was shocked too....
and yes! I did cry when I saw that medical thing!
My God! that was quite emotional!
I will completely admit to crying during the medical scenes..it touched me..(even though I saw part of it live)
Very creative editing with Sheila after the medical events though..us live feed viewers know 1/2 second after that hug with the two sick girls she goes off on a 3 hour rant about herself and how rough she had it...
loved them showing Josh and Sharon being sneaky listeners...that is what they do ALL the time..funny..
I'll admit it too, I am pretty teary eyed myself.
Overall I really enjoyed the show.
At first I really didn't care who leaves this week, but today, I have decided I want Alex & Amanda to stay.
after seeing amanda on the floor, i definitely don't think she was faking it. that was awful! and im...i had tears in my eyes. very scary for both women.
and allison...argh!!! i hope sheila doesn't get taken in by her again. afterall, allison is a gambler and knows how to play people and work them over...all with a "poker" face on.
Yeah I don't know if I needed to see that. But I'm happy to say I'm even more of a James fan after this episode. Love, love, love his edit.
And dare I ask if his pink v-neck is to this season what Dustbin's gray v-neck to BB8? I think so.
it made me like amanda so much more. "even though these people might not like me at times..they still have feelings for me, they still care about my well being"... it made me so teary..she actual stuck to her promise to be a better person from then on. Ali on the other hand has constantly broken her words.. sad. i thought something emotional like that could make people change for the better. guess it doesn't apply to everyone.
So I read on a previous post that Allison says personally she wants to vote out A/A, but strategically she wants to vote out M/N. But yet her reasoning doesn't make sense, or add up. If she really trusts M/N and S/A, then the numbers would be on her side and it would be in her best interest to keep M/N for game reasons, not evict them.
But then she tells the others she trusts M/N & can influence them easy. Again, a strategic move to KEEP them, not evict them.
I can't figure her out, I guess, she is just completely telling Josh/James, etc..what they wanna hear whether she contradicts herself or not.
I hope she digs her own grave. Can't stand her.
oh yeah..thanks for reminding Carolyn..forgot they left out the Chelsia comments...I say Chelsia got the best bs edit...tv only viewers won't see any of her nasty comments about Amanda..
Chelsia got off the easiest...
I was neither here nor there with the TV show...it was just missing so much...
Anyway, that's why having the dish is the bonus check...You kill CBS Carolyn!
;)
Did we ever find out what Allison was allergic to?
SHOWMANCE ALERT
Tue 7:06 PM BBT Ali/Ryan in hammock still. - Tikkanen
Ali: I'm concerned about Jen. Will she want to kill me? She's crazy a little.
Ryan laughs. We're partners in this game.
Ali: I'm gonna look like a homewrecker.
Ryan: You're not seducing me. You told me your perspective on things. She won't kill you. This game made her crazier than she is. I've never seen her go after a girl. She does have a gun, a .45 *laughs*. She had a bad experience, someone breaking in.
Ali: I'm not your type.
Ryan: Not entirely, but you grow. I talk nothing but good about you in DR.
Ali: I do genuinely think you're awesome
I was totally in shock when they showed Amanda in full on seizure. I have never seen that kind of thing before. I was actually scared.
Watching the CBS shows has become tedious and they all seem like repeats since we know what's really happening in the house through your website and of course, the feeds.
I think you can miss the CBS shows and still keep up!
All of the people that said Amanda was faking. I would like to know what they think now. And I think if Alex and Amanda are evicted it will kill BBs whole soulmate theme. I think there's a true connection and it will grow if they stay in the house. As for Matt and Natalie, their time in the house will only hurt there lives outside of the house. Matt is showing what a jerk he is. And I'm scared for Natalie. A lot of people will take her behavior in the house the wrong way.
Wow, I too was shocked to see the extra footage with Amanda. Go James for getting in there and remaining calm while everyone else had their thumbs up their butts.
And correct me if I'm wrong...Is this the first time an "outsider" has been in the big brother house without being a previous guest? That's history if it is.
I love how Amanda jumps up and down to the political news. And who mispronounced Barrack's name? It was like Berrik that they said...think it was Amanda.
WIKKID
ok, the editing sux. why does CBS like Amanda so much? I'm not saying she faked it, but your body gives you warning signs that it is about to go down b/c of low blood sugar. not only that, but it's happend to her b4 so it should not have been a surprise. CBS glossed over all events in the house. I am thankful I have feeds & after dark to rely.
Chelsia got lucky - Sheila looks pretty bad in many eps
...and your poll on Natalie... the admission of 2 abortions was her most shocking moment. I'll tell ya, that girl simply has NO filter! Some things are better left unsaid, Natalie!
Must admit - I cried too. James (outside the game) appears to be about treating people with respect and kindness -- he's real. In the game, I don't like his partner so I can't say I'm rooting for them to win anything or be safe from week to week. But after seeing how he stepped up for Amanda - I have a new respect for him.
As for Josh - not so much. He was sorry about how he acted to Amanda when he knew she was down and out and physically sick -- but in the last few days he's shown his true colors in the comments he's made about slop and Amanda and making her sick by hiding the food she can eat. That's NOT gamesmanship - that's just unhuman and down right mean....same goes for Chelsia. Game or no game - there's something to be said about the humanistic nature of a person and their respect for the fellow man or lack thereof.
lol@ Giinger "chipmunk face" to funny. Anyways good show tonight I felt bad for Amanda but that nurse seemed right on top of everything and I'm bummed the showed Sheila in such a "loving" way if that's what you want to call they didn't show how she complained and made everything about her. I can't stand that hag.
The TV only fight of Sheila and Allison got the biggest edit. The closing lines of hate and the whole tangent of the "yeast infection" was missing. Classic cat fight that was tamed down way too much on the edit.
Now that it looks like Alex and Amanda are leaving.. does anyone know how to cancel the feeds..? I have absolutely no interest in only constantly watching caniving and backstabbing. Big brother is more than that to me.. it's about watching relationships between people grow.
As far as Chelsia goes, let me just say that I am getting a little sick satisfaction from the fact that she's making out w/ James. How is she going to feel when she gets out and finds out about his past? I'm not trying to dog James....to each his own. I just think that you can tell the difference:
- good people in real life but they know how to 'play the game'
- people that truly have no soul (seriously...i gave her the benefit of the doubt w/ the first comment-maybe she didn't mean it that way-but she's made too many of them since.)
If, unfortunately, A/A gets voted out, I will take comfort in the fact that Chelsia will be humiliated when the show is over. I'm sure that her family is just cringing right now. (Don't even get me started on Natalie....ugh)
- Jaime
And ....
If you picked 2 for the number of times you'd hear "It Is What It Is" during this episode, come down and get yer clock!
I checked the MySpace profiles for the cast and noticed that Chelsia's profile says "C" and says that she is from Texas. Do you think that she knows Josh? Or is it just a mistake?
From what I am understanding, Josh and Sharon say that they are NOT going to be the ONLY couple in the house that votes to keep Amanda and Alex and have decided to switch their votes to evicting them. 8(
Alex is going around telling some of them why he respects them and Amanda is crying.
I wish Josh and Sharon had used the veto then they could team with the pair they saved and vote out the replacement .
i am still wondering what this next twist is. And if the promos are right that everyone has a secret...things that make you go hmmmmmmm....
I too cried when I saw Amanda on the floor, very emotional. I am so glad CBS showed it all to us. It sure made me want to sign up for the live feeds - which I will next season. I love Amanda more than I love anyone in the house. Natelie is great showtoo entertainment however her gay parnter sucks..so I will be glad to see them leave this week! Amanda and Alex, they have a chance at being true soul mates!
Anon @ 8:16~
What do u mean by "C"?
I'm confused..
Thx!
If Josh and Sharon have a "secret" alliance with Amanda and Alex, I don't see why he would weaken them by hiding the condiments/coffee. I think he may be trying to fool the others and keep them from knowing bout the alliance.
Doesn't "dearth" mean "lack of"?? So are you saying that they're NOT giving the editors stuff to work with? Or that they are??
As soon as Josh came on with his "I really care about Amanda, she's part of my family", I practically pissed my pants laughing. What a fraud.
that guy - you're absolutely right. brain fart on my part.
Did you mean "breadth," Carolyn?
James was awesome. All I could hope is that he never wears those burgandy shorts again. The seizure was scary. It surely didn't look fake to me. Good for Allison for realizing what was happening and getting herself help quickly.
Ha ha Cliff!!! I agree. When did that become the catch phrase of America? I rolled my eyes when I heard Alex say it last night, and I hear people say it all the time.
I admit it, I cried like a baby after watching Amanda last night(even though I already knew she would be okay). Very impressed with James last night. Nat runs out to the pool to tell everyone Amanda fainted, and James and Ryan RUN inside, Josh just stays in the pool! James showed what a caring person he really is.
I'm really getting annoyed with Alli & Chelsia for saying that Amanda faked it. Ginger, I love the chipmunk reference. I might even dislike Alli more than Josh now...
Loved how they made Sheila look like a jealous psycho last night- I was cracking up!
Question- since tonight's show is live, does that mean they won't be showing any of the strip tease/margarita party?
Might cry again tonight if A/A leave :(
I cried as well... and although the seizure part was scary, I have to admit that I was laughing pretty hard, when the nurse asked for a glass of juice, and they had to say..."we don't have any glasses?" For some reason that struck me very funny!

I totally agree with you about CBS. They edit the show to make it tell the story they want to convey to its viewers. Its just like the time CBS edited the show to make it look like Alex was stalking Amanda and all of the HGs just attacked her for no reason.
The best part of these reality TV shows(BB, HP, RW) are those shows that expose their secrets. Can't wait to see what they have in store for this season.
