The DishChicks are back and ready to blog Big Brother 9!! At bb9dish, we cover the Big Brother Live Feeds, so much of what we write could be considered a spoiler for those who only watch the broadcast on CBS. Now, we don't understand why anyone would choose to do that, since it's like forming an opinion based on 1/10,000th of the information, and they could at least try the feeds for free, but what do we know?! Happy Thursday
Good morning, BB lovers. Oh whatta night! And today will bring nominations, as well as another food (or luxury) comp.
While I get coherent and assemble the overnight report, please take the 2 new quickie polls on the right, and enjoy the following 2 clips. The first is a tribute to Alex made by hellataz. Ya had to know those would be coming, right? ;)
The second clip is Julie's exact words last night with regard to the upcoming twist, provided by tvgrapevine. The possibilities are limitless.
So I know this is a long stretch and it could be anything but what if the next evicted couple have a choice...like one gets to stay in the game and one has to leave...but we get to vote for the one that stays..that brings America back into the game for voting...I guess then maybe we could also chose a new partner for who stays out f those who have all ready been evicted? I am just throwing out some ideas...OH Big BROTHER!!!
Made by hellataz~ Oh please Lord help Alex, I feel sorry for him being on her "radar" and I hope he knows to stay far away. Warning: Alex, do NOT accept gift baskets!!
This is going to be a long week for us. The wait to see how they twist things will be stressful.
I was watching another taped show from last night and saw the new commercials for BB. They are showing a possible romance between Ryan and Allison, then about 1:30 am BBT I tune into the feed before going to sleep and see a possible break up in the works. Allison is sleeping in the blue room and Ryan is with the other HG. Then there is the continueing Matt and Nat saga. R & A make up and sleep in the jinksed room. Is anyone superstitious?
Carolyn Thanks for another wonderful year so far. I must say at first I just was not into this group and had a hard time watching the show after my first season with the HG from last season. But after Allison and all her trash talking and Queen Bee like attitude, IM HOOKED AGAIN!!! I even did my happy dance last night when J/S won HOH that I had not done since Dick and Dani made it to final 2 last year. As for the twist coming up..I don't even know what will happen, But I'm glued to my feeds when I'm home because of it!!
What the hell is wrong with Allison? Seriously girl, strap a pair on! And did anyone catch Chelsia and Matt making out last night in the storage room? Kinda caught me off guard after the whole James exchange during the show! And of course I'm hoping Alex can come back!
I went to TVgrapevine after watching the video and saw a comment about the HG being told that not all of them were paired up with their soulmate. And it was up to them to find out which ones. Did I miss something, did that really happen or was it a possible theory?
I think that they are going to bring back all the other evicted house guests to play the game as individuals, and the teams that are left in the house are going to still have to play BB9 as a team. Just a guess...;)
How many weeks does BB usually run? Twelve? This might be deduile if we know that. Next Wednesday will be the end of week Four with eight people remaining and eight weeks to go. So would that mea that after eight weeks, the final two remain? Then they need two more people (assuming this goes to singles, which I am guessing is what the next "Chapter" is). So it would stand to reason that the "Evicted Couple" ((sorry, no Alex, folks, just Alli and Ryan probably) would be let in (probably at some disadvantage like not being able to compete for HOH). Numberswise, that has to be what happens.
Okay, I think it's pretty obvious that the twist will be someone going back into the house and the couples breaking into singles.
Next Wed, one couple will get evicted, America will choose from the 7 evicted HGs (or 6?? is Jacob not in sequester?? like he has a shot anyway...) to re-enter the game, the remainders will finally get to go home, and everyone evicted from that point (up to the final two) will be a part of the jury.
As far as who to vote back in?? Why give Alex another shot? He's been the worst player this season. Even with coaching, he has no friggin clue. Adam has more going on upstairs than he does.
Alex is the second coming of Kaysar. Decent guy. Ladies might have the hots for him. Horrible player. He'll probably get voted back in. He'll also probably be just as big of a disaster and get voted right back out.
Kaysar's a good kid, but he was a trainwreck every time he stepped in that house. Alex is his long lost twin.
I think the evicted couple will come back as HOH next week!!!!! And instead of nominating 2 couples for eviction, they nominate 2 couples for reinstatement back into the house (reverse BB). That would stretch the show out for at least a few more weeks!
I'm also hoping they get rid of Matt/Nat this week and go after Allison later. Then, if they do in fact break into singles next week, Ryan will have a chance to distance himself from the sea hag and stick around.
Nomination day. I hope J/S make the right move. Here is how I see it:
The only thing that can go wrong is that the random couple picked to play in the POV comp, wins and takes off who they want and not risk being put up themselves. The POV winner is NOT an option to put on the block.
So with that being said. J/S need to nominate M/N & A/R. That way the stronger teams that are more likely to win POV will take themselves off the block and it will not risk J/C being put up b/c they are the only choice left. And if S/A happen to be the random choice for POV comp, they are less likely to win than the others and if they do win, I think they are easier to sway to not use the POV.
So, even tho my fav 2 couples, J/S & J/C, are in power and things look good, one thing COULD go wrong. Whoever out of the other 3 couples is not on the block, wins the POV, uses it to take down one of the 2 couples (both in their alliance) off the block, which leaves J/C as the only choice to put up and in that case the votes would be for J/C to leave.
Hope this makes sense. So I am really hoping I hear that J/S nominated M/N & A/R.
I have never liked any twist that involved an evicted houseguest coming back into the house (even though I did enjoy Kaysar for one more week:)) It doesn't seem fair to me to have the houseguests work so hard to get someone out only to have that person given a second chance.
This next Season, we'll have a set of houseguests all hiding a secret: They'll have issues ranging from your garden variety medicated bipolar disorder, paranoids, up to and including one certified full-blown schitzophrenic! What the houseguests won't know is that during DR sessions, where we administer the meds, America gets to vote on who's meds secretly get fed to whom! America, YOU control the loony hamsters! Don't forget to watch the action live on the feeds.
And, as an added twist, all medicine will cease to be adm
And for an added twist, for the final four, all med delivery will cease.
(j/k) ------------------------------ Won't beat the BB9 team, that's for sure!
We really never had a chance to see Alex play the game. He made some poor decisions, but I think that is because he was just feed up with his current situation. If he comes back into the house with a different partner or as a solo player, I think that he will be a much better player.
If I were producer for a day, relizing that there would only be three weeks left it I do nothing and that the fans would revolt, I would bring back all the evicted couples in different pairs. Since Allison/Ryan are toast unless they win the POV, I would make the couples Ryan/Jen, Allison, Alex and Parker/Amanda. That would buy an additional three weeks. It would maintain the couples format.
Well i watched the clip of Julie's words and wasn't clear if the twist affects LAST NIGHTS evicted couple (A/A) or did she mean the couple that will be evicted NEXT???? Sorry, was out of coffee (ughhhh long day now)... If its the later of the 2 I am afraid it will keep that snake/Allison in the game :-(
Someone said Alex didn't suck; it was his situation. I am not sure he has ever seen this show based on his play. He made most of the big mistakes:
=Formed a three group alliance early; -first HOH (though he said he didn't want it, he didn't throw it) -nominated his own alliance (I didn't even realize there was an alliance at that point bc I was tv only mostly at that point but would not have thought so based on that); -which relates to Letting his emotions get in the way of his game (Amanda crush and Parker jealousy) -Not wanting his alliancemates to save his alliancemates;
And that was just the first HOH rule
-Not campaigning =Not acmpaigning bc you exchanged promisees with your alliancemate not to (the same guy who screwed the other alliancemate) -not being aware that your competition was campaigning. How oblivious.
I mean, Alex could not have played a worse game. He went from being favored to being saved once up (which was his partner's fault) and got himself evicted via inactivity and naivete. He does not deserve to be brought back. Hotness doesn't walk the dog and it would be unfair. None of them should come bacck. They all lost fair and square.
Hopefully they do this ttwist in a fair way, so that ostensibly A/R come back with serious disadvantages, such as not being able to compete for HOH and being on slop the rest of the game or something.
everyone needs to get over Alex. He was no Dr. Will or Janelle except in likability and the looks department.
HELP! I'm having major YouTube issues...even when I go to their website to view the vids...they will load, but freeze up after a few seconds. NOthing I do, refreshing, opening in a new window/tab makes a difference. This started yesterday after the live show...I thought it was just because there was too much traffic or something, but it is STILL going on today!
Any suggestions? Do I need to upgrade some software or something? Is anyone else having the same thing happen?
I can't see what Julie said and I missed it during the original broadcast. What exactly DID she say? (much as I have tried to train my family to BE QUIET while BB is on, they still want to try to talk to me! LOL)
Well, for sure BB9 will last through first week of April since the Sweepstake to go to the finale ends April 1. Now the tentative end date is set at April 29th... but who knows with these people. It's a cheap show to produce and they make money on Sho2 and Real... not to forget viewer votes.
Maybe they will really change it up and bring back all evicted houseguests and play against the others as 2 teams. Then whatever team loses HOH has to evict one of their own????
i think that america or the house will get to vote one of the evicted houseguests back in,next wednesday, and from there on they will play alone..maybe?
Here is my theory on what the big twist is. It seems to me that the season is gonna go by awfully fast if they keep evicting one couple a week, right? You start with 8 couples, by next Thursday half the players will be gone. What if they take the remaining houseguests and say you are no longer going to finish the game with your current partner. Instead you will each get to chose one evicted houseguest to come back and be your partner for the remainder of the game. (or bb assigns them, maybe?) Then all original players are back. It explains too why the first eliminated couple went into sequester. (unless they always do it that way, I'm not sure). Rebecca
Think about it. Since Julie said "Parker and Jen, Congradulations you are Big Brother's FIRST POWER COUPLE" shouldn't there be at least a SECOND Power Couple at some point? The Twist is not only does the evicted couple get to come back in the game but they get to pick a SECOND couple to come back in the game or Power Couple THREE who will then immediately eliminate another couple. With Power Couple THREE having been sequestered they won't know everything that has happened since they left and could potentially get rid of a couple that could be their allies including Power Couple TWO that brought them back in.
Meredith@10:29-I was the poster that commented on Alex's game being the result of his situation. You make valid points. Here are my responses to your thoughts.
I support Alex, Parker, and Nat because I think that they were paired with the WRONG people. Some of the partnerships ended up working out well, but for these 3 their partnerships were a disaster and impacted how they played the game. If they were paired with someone else, we may see some improvement in their strategy.
1)Alliance: Alex wasn't the only one that formed the 3 group alliance, it was Amanda, Parker, Jen, Matt, and Nat. So if he is a bad player for doing this, then so are Matt, Parker, Jen, Nat, and Amanda. If he deserves the blame for putting up people from his alliance, then so does Amanda.
2) Partner: Alex had been told by almost everyone in the house that his partner was costing him the game (Video Feeds:M/A preparing for shower, A/J before blowup, A/A and J/P in SR after blowup, chel/ sheila aftermath). He attempted to remedy the situation by telling Amanda to make amends to the people she wronged(Video Feed: BY with A, M, P). He knew that there was only so much he could do to fix the situation and the rest was up to how much the HGs were willing to forgive her. If we were in that situation, we would have also felt that no amount of campaigning was going to do any good. The HGs may not admit it, but the STD lecture and the comment about Sharon sealed the deal for A/A. It wasn't just Alex's unwillingless to campaign or him being naive that lead to their eviction.
3) No campaigning: Gossiping is not campaigning, so all of the HGs have failed at this. Gossip king and queen goes to Josh and Amanda/Alli. "HG that can't keep a secret if their life depended on it" goes to Amanda. "HGs most likely to throw their partners under the bus" goes to Matt and Amanda. You are correct, this is not the right game for Alex because in order to win you need to be ruthless. Alex is just too trusting and forgiving.
4) Emotions: Everyone wants to blame Alex/Parker for this, but I think that Amanda also needs to be held accountable for the role she played. Amanda was the FIRST HG to put the game on the line because of emotions(Video Feeds: day 1). She thought that having two guys fighting over her would make a better show than the game itself; I guess she must have watched too many episodes of the Real World.
On the video feeds it shows her tossing her hair in Alex's face and rubbing her behind on him(Video Feeds: Feb 13-Feb 16). You don't flirt with a guy like that if you don't have feelings for him and if you don't want him to have feelings for you. She likes Alex and Parker, and she loves the attention that she gets from them. If she didn't want drama, then she shouldn't create it by telling Parker and the other HGs lies. If she was looking for a fight, then she should have auditioned for the Real World.
5)Intentions: If your intentions for being on the show are to promote yourself, then the focus is not on the game. This is true for all HGs, but the two that stand out the most are Shelia and Amanda. Sheila has stated more than once that she is just there to promote her book and doesn't care about the game. Amanda stated that she wanted to wear those shorts because she saw how much attention it brought the previous HGs and she thought it would jumpstart her modeling career(Video Feeds:last night in HOH).
6)first HOH: Winning HOH and J/R coming out with their secret saved A/A from being the second evicted couple. It's a given that the winners of HOH/POV are going to be targets. BB is a game of risks and benefits. If HGs don't want to win HOH/POV because they are afraid of being a target, then they shoud not be on BB in the first place. As the saying goes: "If you can't stand the heat, then get out of the kitchen" .
7) Alliances: I admit that not saving alliance mates was a huge mistake because it could have helped them this week.
8) I agree that none of them should come back, but that is not the way BB producers want to play the game.
Alex has made some poor decisions just like the rest of the HGs. All of the HGs, with the exception of Alli, have poor strategy. I could call the other HGs out on their non-skills, but that would give me even more reasons not to watch this show.
In response to Anon's counter to my "Why Alex Sucked" argument (if you even see this as this is an older postm but I have been busy), here is my rebuttal:
The gist of your arguments seem to be that Alex didn't suck, just those around him, especialy Amanda, and he was a victime of the situation. waswn't saying that Amanda, Jen, Parker, and Mattalie didn't suck; they all did, and most are gone, and all would be by next week bu for the Alli drama. Alex sucked as well as them. They all sucked, but Alex was a key decision maker in all those errors. The bewt thing he did was to tell Amanda to make nice, but that was not sufficient to overcome sucky gameplay.
Off point Alex was promoting as well, via his clothing, ooogie-style. And of course Sheila ants to win the money (like she will get a half-mill in book sales?). Bad strategy, don't say you don't want to win the money- see for example, Jen Johnson; but also see Dr. Will in All-Stars who nearly got to final three.
Alli was the only one with game, but last I checked, she is losing it. She should know to be the bigger person. Joshuah is eneather her contempt a real low-life. But I haven't checked in since yesterday afternon so it could be a whole new ballgame,
And do we know J/P are in sequester? Jacob and Sharon were bc of the timelag between the game and actual airtime.
5.6 million hits!
Un-Real! I still feel like the little blog that could...
Thanks so much for making this the best season ever on the dish! :)
I'll be checking in periodically to moderate comments, and after a couple weeks,
we can look forward to some interviews with some of the final 9 HGs. Of course, if there's big news before then, I'll be posting that too. :)
Happy Spring!!
