Checking In, News & Thanking YOU
Hello BB Lovers. :) It's just past noon on Friday, and the boys are still sleeping. Lettem rest. They, as all BB finalists before them, had a rough night following the Jury Q-n-A.
FYI, The Feeds went to Flames at 12:53pm BBT. BB is very likely waking the boys... Just a heads up. ;) Then again, maybe not. The feeds came back to sleeping Adam and Ryan in less than a minute. Definitely not enough time for wake up music.
I'll be here checking in periodically over the next couple days, but mostly, I'm going to be working on getting the new BBDish site for ready and into shape for next season...
I want to make sure everyone knows I will definitely be here doing a Live Show Spoiler for the Finale on Sunday Night... and hanging out with everyone afterwards... and announcing a few contest winners. :)
Thanks so much for being a part of the dish this season... This was far and away our best and most successful yet, and I have each and every one of you to thank for it.
One more quick clip from last night... Adam puts the official stamp on the Cuban coffee I've been raving about all season... although he spells and pronounces his brand of choice incorrectly. It's Pilon, and it's pronounced pee-lohn, not pile-on. My fave, as you know, is Bustelo Supremo, just so we're clear on that. ;) Pilon actually bought Bustelo a couple years ago, so it's all the same, but taste wise, ya gotta go Bustelo.

This is my first comment, but wanted you to know that "The Dish" is my favorite site for updates! I've deleted the other update sites and now really totally on you. And what a great job you do! I'm going out of town on Sunday, and will be in a big jet plane when the finale happens....but I'll be sure to check in at the dish as soon as we land!

This was my first season of BB...and i got so ADDICTED...i think this site is one reason for that, i am on the internet constantly (and on my mobile internet when not at home) so i was able to stay completely updated!
I checked out tons of sites but once i found this one, i quit looking! I am now a BB fan for life...and DISH will be the only site i read!
You are great for everything you do, and all of us fans would not survive without your hard work and dedication to this blog and the HG's.

I just want to echo all the other thank you's for doing such a great job! Previous seasons I have used another site to look for updates but I found you on MySpace & found yours one of the best! I love that you let us comment & during the lulls, you give us things to do like the "Shag, Marry & push off a cliff" thing. The polls are great too & look forward to them to see if I am feeling the same way as most or in the minority! last year we were in the chat rooms and someone had told us about this site.my husband then nearly dies and was hospitalized for two months and this is the only way that we got to see what was going on and what we needed to vote for..we have told everyone that we know about this site and we only hope that maybe they used it.we used this site to get our feeds this year in hopes that it would support carolyn..so thank you carolyn and others for the help in keeping us in touch with what is going on because in the hospital this is what kept us going last season because it kept us concentrating on something else other than our problems.although every body has different opinions it was still great getting to know every ones's different opinions..

Although this is my first time commenting, I have been reading this website all season long. This is my first season of BB, and I'm hooked mostly because of this blogspot. I started watching the shows online, then clips on youtube, which is how I found you! I just felt a little guilty enjoying your blogspot (and depending on it!) without saying thanks...so thanks!

I think BB made Adam and Ryan look good on the shows but behind the backs of the HG's and especially since they won the final 2 spot I think they are selfish! F-him and F-her is all I hear out of them. Come on....you won. Be a big boy and understand the loosers are a little upset and want to know they are giving the money they lost out on to a worthy person. If they could hear these 2 guys now they'd probably say screw the $7500, I'm not voting to give the money to either one of them. The only one left would be James to decide who gets it.
Ryan and Adam both turned out to be A**holes in my opinion.

well, this was our first foray into big brother & my wife & i were hooked the while season. we watched nearly all of the bbad on showtime. you're web site kept us up to date & gave us insights to what was going on and for this we are grateful. we are already looking forward to bb10! my wife & i are in our late 60s & i was wondering, maybe to late for bb9, what is the average age of your audience & was our age unusual? thanks carolyn.....:) dave & monika in florida
Carolyn-you're the best! Couldn't we just take Adam and Ryan's earnings and give them to Carolyn instead? That's the best option IMO.

I don't get why Adam and Ryan don't understand why most of the jury is upset. Most people would be, and I credit James for being nice. It's natural to be pissed off if you came close to winning a lot of money and then didn't.
We know Ryan and maybe Adam would be bitter as hell if they were in the jury house too.
Personally, I'm glad "Hoops" finally came out. The game's over, and everyone but Sheila, Josh, James and Chelsia said some nasty stuff about her (she didn't deserve it IMO). The way Adam and Ryan talk about people, they deserve to have some of the jury rip on them.
If I was Natalie, I'd be pissed at them too.
The only reason why Matt wasn't bitter was because "his team" were in final 2. If Sharon/Chelsia/James/Josh or even Sheila made the final 2, Matt would have been a jerk to them during the questioning period.
This is the nature of BB!

This is my first time commenting but have been reading your site all year and just love it. I now only go to this one when I want to see whats going on in the BB house. I have watched BB since the first episode. A long time, nine seasons, going on the tenth, soon to be. Thank you so much for all that you do to keep us informed. I bet sometimes you must think you live in the BB house.
This was not one of the best seasons but I did enjoy it. Not sure who I want to win. I didn't care for James but I do think he by far played the best game out of all of them. I hope Shelia watches bb tapes and see what a fool she made of herself. They all back stab and make alliances but since they didn't win they start picking on the winners. I do not like how all the house guest are always calling each other names and then sweet to there face. By far Chelesa is the one who needs to have a little therapy, her mouth is so awful. Thank you again and looking forward to getting the live feeds.

I have watched BB 1-9, only on cbs and this is the third time I have had the 24/7 feeds. This year we got a new PC and new Mac; this made my life much easier on the computer. I found "The Dish" through YouTube and just love it. I don't think I have missed a day at your site.
I have been disabled for years and your site have given me such pleasure and entertainment these last 3 months. I will be back for BB10 and it can't come soon enough.
I don't know how you do what do everyday for each of us. After reading all the comments I hope you know how much we appreciate your energy and dedication.
I don't write many comments but I do read it all. This is because I had a stroke several years ago and I had to learn how to speak and write again. So my spelling is not as great as it once was.

I think I found this site through myspace, and I am soooo happy I did. I watched last season, but this is the first season I really got into it. Watching the bbad on showtime and posting on forms. Your site is the most comprehensive, up to date, well organized, unbiased(you are fair to all commenters, and do not slant towards you're personal views),and friendly source for BB lovers. You are tolerant of the crude jerks who are often rude and obscene in their unfair criticism of you for providing us with such a wonderful forum.
You are so creative in providing activities, polls , contests to challenge us and fill those boring periods of endless trivia.
Before I found dish I was a the kind of Big Brother fan that caught the show when I could. I had checked out other sites which did nothing to increase my interest as a fan. Since I found Dish, I have not missed a show, purchased the feeds, watch BBAD, and come to dish several times a day for updates, fun, and companionship.
Dish always keeps me reminded of coming events on the show and feeds and helps give me the insight and dish to keep my interest piqued.
BB and all of us have a priceless gem in you and because of you and Dish we all can't wait for BB10.I hope both that coffee manufacturer and the shops that sell it know how much you do for them too.
You are truly the one who deserves the $500,000 in our opinion. BB would be so much less without you and your determined dedication.

I discovered BB and your blog site last season. last year i was in a ministry school and we gathered to watch each episode..it was a big deal, and i somehow found your site, so i was always ahead of everyone else and i LOVED it!! this season it has helped me out SO much! my schedule has permitted me to only watch a total of 3 episodes this season, but thanks to you ladies and this amazing site, i have been able to keep track and feel like i didn't miss an episode! i was so tempted to subscribe to the feeds, but like i said, with my work schedule, it almost would have been useless. anyways, the thanks, should be going to ya'll and all the other contributors to this site! thank you so much!!

Thank you for a great BB season of blogs! I've been watching BB since season 1 and love it. I do agree with most that this season was not the best ever :)
I'm afraid to get the live feeds because I'd never sleep and would have to drag through my own life each day. Therefore, I rely on you and the bloggers to keep me up to date on the REAL BB happenings!! Mostly, I'm a lurker who loves the entertainment you all provide.
You really do a super job as so many have already told you. (Heck, a girl can never have too many compliments, can she??) It is amazing how you seem to be 16 places at once: watching the feeds, transcribing, moderating the blog, conducting interviews, etc.
It's good you find a little time to bike and break for Cuban coffee. Please take more time for yourself--as much as we love you, we want you to be around for many more seasons!!!
One question I've been wondering: It says the dish chicks are Carolyn and Cara, but I haven't discovered who Cara is. Is Cara more behind the scenes? Posting under a different name? No longer with you? If I'm prying please just tell me to mind my own business and to use better manners next time :)

(I used to be one of those people who would ONLY watch the TV show...did that since BB3) I decided to say "screw it" and follow the dish with this season this year, and I have to say how HAPPY that I did that!
I have met many pleasant people on this blog, especially you, Carolyn. I started this season as an "anon", but knew halfway that I must be a devoted Dish follower and get a Google account!
I am amazed at how much devotion you have towards this blog, but am so happy that you do. Your ability to stay up till the whee hours of the night and blog about what occurs (ESPECIALLY Endurance Comps) is awesome.

Thanks for everything you do, Carolyn. BB would never be the same without you. I found you last season. I stopped watching BB a few seasons ago because of work and school.
Last season I decided to get back to it. I started googling one day because everyone on the show kept mentioning the message boards and blogs, and BAM! I found you, and haven't left since.
You do an awesome job, and without you, I am certain I would have lost interest in BB a while ago.
The fiance calls me randomly throughout the day to get updates, and I generally just read him the latest post, and most of the comments. We have some favorite posters, and we love to see all of the different opinions. We have been swayed many a time by a good poster.
I've got you bookmarked for next season. I've told every BB watcher I know about your blog, and many of them now read you daily.
It will take me a few days to learn how to get away from the computer. Just today I found myself wondering what to do next, because there wasn't a lot going on for you to post about. Extra time on my hands, no BB to obsess over...I might go crazy. LOL
Once again, thank you so much, it's really awesome that you do this. I feel as if I know you in person. I know things will slow down on here over the next few says and weeks, but I will still check the site. Heck, I started reading BB8Dish over again.

Let me belatedly add my kudos to all the others.
When I first started posting this year, I commented on having discovered you last season, but hadn't figured out how to post.
I also commented about how much I enjoyed finding a site where for the most part posters did not viciously attack other posters who voiced opinions which the "nasty posters" didn't agree with. My experience on Films.com was to be attached (among many others) by one particular poster who called us naive, ignorant, immature, unintelligent, etc., etc., etc. It had an extremely chilling effect on the enjoyment of back-and-forth bantering and posting.
I took the time to learn how to post on your site because I discovered nothing even close to what people were being exposed to on Films.com.
You have been a joy, a delight, and a laugh, all rolled into one.
I am so looking forward to Season 10. Although I do not give a hoot who wins this season (since James got evicted), I am not looking forward to the end of Season 9: there is going to be a huge hole in myheart and my daily routine when I can no longer come to this site and get a "fix."
I'll be here on Sunday, "know that." And I'll be checking periodically so I can join in as soon as 10 is up and running.
I also have to give a call out to beorn, GaYTor, Ry, Jane, and all the other consistent posters (even some of the anonymouses, but I don't know their names).
Speaking of anons, what do you think of taking that option away next season. Clicking on Name/URL and typing in a username is no big deal, and it helps those of us commenters who like to know who we are talking to not get confused with all the anons. Even a request for the Anons to type some type of consistent name or identifier at the end of their post would help. I know it's just a personal preference, but I don't think I'm the only one who enjoys "seeing" (reading) the "face" (name) of the person I'm talking to.

Carolyn just had to check in and leave this comment. As well as being a BB addict I am a major News junkie, contantly flipping through different news channels on TV, radio and web sites (especially since its an election year, and the campaigning is so similar to BB).
LMAO!! Just heard Bill O'Reilly using the phrase THROW UNDER THE BUS. He was referring to O'bama refusing to throw Rev. Wright under the bus.
I really hoped we had heard the last of that phrase for a while. It amazes me how it has now become such a common phrase used by political commentators like O'reilly. Hope he doesn't start saying KNOW THAT, BOO FRIKKIN HOO, or BACK DOOR !!!

I didn't stick around today because these guys have become more nauseating by the minute since becoming the final 2! It's like they have forgotten completely about lying, cheating and manipulating everyone they lived with in the BB house. They are so angry at the jury member's questions and attitudes and are oblivious to why anyone would have a problem with them. There is an undertone of entitlement with both of them and it surprises me that they are still so supportive of each other, unless it's an act to just get through the next couple of days. Ryan seems so mean, with a real chip on his shoulder and Adam is so resentful of anyone who has a problem with him in the jury house. He has the softer heart of the two but I don't want either one of them to win, and I sure don't want to see them in a BB favorite's show.
Besides all that, (whew, glad I got that off my chest,) I just read everyone's comments and realized I missed you guys today and the live feed is just background music for the fun here. I am a "member" of lots of blogs but this one is the most diverse and the most supportive of each other. We disagree without being disagreeable...

What in the world am i gonna do without you? BBblog has become part of my daily routine.
Actually, in a few weeks i'm heading to a zen monestary in the coastal mountains for the summer - i expect it'll be similar to BB house as it's a very isolated self-contained community - 14 miles of dirt road to the nearest town - and i'll be sans laptop (no electric light no motor car not a single luxury ...) If there's an internet cafe in town i'll log on and check out BB10; Unless of course i'm voted out ... then i'll give you the scoop on BB Zen house.

I've watched bb since season one, and every year I get a little more into it. Since season 7 I've been looking to your sites for updates, but this year I've really been on your site 24/7. Seriously I probably typed the URL like 10 times in three months, I just open my laptop and push refresh! And even the 10% chance I don't have this page already up.. it's programmed so that all I have to do is type a B and scroll down the urls for BB9DISH!!
Needless to say, BUENO JOB CAROLYN!!! :] I am officially addicted to the dish! :D And now that I'm graduating in May (cross my fingers) I'll have more time to devote to interacting with you and the other bblovers of the dish! (cross my toes)

Hey Carolyn.. Thanks so much for your hard work and dedication to this blog site and for truly enhancing the audience with an insiders look. I have enjoyed so much all of your commentary on daily events and the opportunity to read the comments of the other fans to get a feel of what everyone is thinking.
I have only posted a few times this season but would have more. I just did not enjoy this season and the house guests at all. I am glad its over and even reading your latest comments on the F2 and the classless trashing they are doing of everyone in the jury house leads me to believe that I wouldn't give either of these guys the time of day let alone a vote to win money. They are very rude and very ungrateful for being final two. I could think of other people who are more deserving of that money and who would accept it humbly. There is no valid reason to be that toxic to the jury. None. I really don't care anymore who wins.. to me its tragic either way.
Enjoy your spring break Carolyn! I am soooo hoping that Alison will find a much more intelligent and classier cast than this one was. I really want to enjoy the show again!

I hadn't said a thank you till now because you are probably sick of hearing the same thing over and over...but I have to.
I found this site on google because I wanted to find the bb blog they were talking about on the show. Unfortunately, I didn't find you till half way through the season! I have been having so much fun on bb9dish, and this is also the first time I've been able to watch BBAD. I'm on the east coast, so I DVR it and watch it the next day. And this site is so addictive, I swear if it was possible I would have broken my "refresh" button!
Anyway, you are the best! I can't believe all the hard work you put in, and your dedication is amazing.
I can't wait till BB10 and having the dish from day one!

thank you so much for your site! you do a wonderful job! ive watched the show on and off since season 2 i think but i really started watching bb during the 6th season (even though i dont remember much that happened haha) but got hooked during the 7th. The 8th was my first season where i was totally addicted but i could never find a site that gave me the updates i wanted. This year was my favorite, and thats because i found your site. thank you again for everything youve done. you do an amazing job and have really changed my big brother experience. i cant wait for bb10!!

First, THANK YOU for all you do. I don't know what is in it for you but I appreciate it.
And, most importantly, let's tawk coffee. I googled Bustelo Supremo and found their website. A couple of questions. irst, SO CHEAP. Muy Caro. Por que? Also, hey say the espresso is a "light" roast. I am a French roast, rot the stomach strong coffee kinda gal. Will I be happy?
Also, is it organic?
And, lastly, what is up with the "brick" they are sold in? Does this mean they are pre-ground and just rich and moist? I use a French Press and cannot deal with the mess and hassle of a coffee grinder, so I have no idea what to do with this brick business. I didn't see an option for how to have the coffee ground pre-shipping.
I know you don't work for Bustelo, but you have been touting this stuff, and coffee is probably the second most important thing in my life, besides my dog. I put BB a distant third.
If you can help me out, ayudame, that would be BUENO!
Otherwise , it is back to the organic Frech Roast from my local NYC gourmand emporium.
Oh, and are we certain Adam threw the last HOH question with that Josh "myself" question?> The answe rwas obvious strictly from the word "myself" which was so Joshuah, let alone his self-absorption.

I can only answer your brick question but they're pre-ground so no, bean grinding mess and they're also sold in cans but I guess not on the net. Though, I'm in NYC too so you might see it in your supermarket.
I doubt it's organic though, seeing as companies that are love to market themselves as such.
It's not a snazzy French whatchamawhosit but it's got kick and it's tasty.
Thanks again for keeping us up on all the latest this season. I'm going to have alot of withdrawls until this summer season starts! lol
Carolyn, I've been putting off my thanks for the season long enough. I just don't want to do it because it means we are close to being done until July and I have enjoyed every minute here and I've spent countless ones keeping up with your blog and having way too much fun commenting.
I've enjoyed reading everyone's opinions even when they are WRONG :p~ (as in not agreeing with mine... JK) I'm not even going to try to name all the regulars that have made this a great season with what we had to work with, which wasn't much. They know who they are. The humour interjected by some have kept me laughing since February.
Your unbiased blog is definitely the best on the net and I defy anyone to say you ever have played favorites. You post what we say, within reason, and according to your rules. I don't know how you do it and keep your sanity as you spend 3 months with little sleep and keep going with the help of your daily doses of Cuban.
So as I am typing this, in 5 hours it will all be over except our endless comments until you cut us off and tell us to move on to BB10.
I am so glad I found this site, through word of mouth of a friend. I've been on others in the past and even moderated two, and was co-admin for another. I'm done with those so I'm looking forward to spending every season here because, I repeat... You are the BEST.
Until the summer, take care of those herniated disks, follow doctor' orders and get plenty of rest, and keep up those daily bike rides.

And you must drink organic. Do you know that pesticides are often used on coffee beans, and if you drink coffee regularly, you are drinking pesticides regularly? (shudder). Yes, I am one of *those* people,
