It's Official!! Big Brother 9 Begins February 12th

Straight from the horses mouth... the horse being CBS publicity. Your BB hopes and dreams have been answered. Stay tuned for more official news. From now on, I'm leaving rumors to the other guys... or maybe just the rumor site... cuz heaven knows we'll have more rumors than hair follicles before long.

Without further ado, the press release:

The First Ever Winter Edition of "Big Brother" Begins Tuesday, Feb 12, 9:00 PM with Wednesday and Sunday Broadcasts at 8:00 PM

Ushering in the New Year is the game show POWER OF 10, reality favorites BIG BROTHER and SURVIVOR, the return of THE NEW ADVENTURES OF OLD CHRISTINE and JERICHO, the series premiere of the comedy THE CAPTAIN and original episodes of 48 HOURS MYSTERY.

The first ever winter edition of BIG BROTHER premieres Tuesday, Feb. 12 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) with additional broadcasts on Wednesdays (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) beginning Feb. 13 and Sundays (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) beginning Feb. 17. Julie Chen returns as host of the live weekly eviction broadcast.

BIG BROTHER has been a summer reality program staple for the past eight years, attracting a young demographic in each of its three weekly broadcasts.

CBS's Revised Programming Schedule Effective in January and February:

    Tuesday, Feb. 12

9:00-10:00 PM BIG BROTHER 9 (Premiere)

    Wednesday, Feb. 13

8:00-9:00 PM BIG BROTHER 9 (Wednesday Premiere)

    Sunday, Feb. 17

8:00-9:00 PM BIG BROTHER 9 (Sunday Premiere)

Allison Grodner and Rich Meehan are executive producers of BIG BROTHER in association with Endemol, U.S.A.

You may have noticed the day switcheroo... Tuesday, Wednesday and Sunday... not a real shocker since Survivor will be running per usual on Thursday nights, and the networks wanna spread out the new programming...

Gotta wonder if this will alter the schedule in terms of comp days though... We shall see. ;)

  17. I wouldn't worry about Alice Cooper, if he is in the show, to be like Evel.
Alice is a pretty decent guy, plays golf, likes history (much like his performance in Wayne's World)

Huh. It's a good thing I mistakenly clicked on my Dish bookmark or I would've had no idea. Wait, maybe that was for the better. Now I'm going to obsess over any developments WAAAAY earlier than I would've normally.

    Gah.

I think a Sat-Mon-Wed rotation makes most sense. Unfortunately, Sat night is where TV shows go to die.
