At bb9dish, we cover the Big Brother Live Feeds, so much of what we write could be considered a spoiler for those who only watch the broadcast on CBS. Now, we don't understand why anyone would choose to do that, since it's like forming an opinion based on 1/10,000th of the information, and they could at least try the feeds for free, but what do we know?! Check bb9dish often for Updates, videos, pics, chops, opinions, etc. xoxo, C-n-C

ReplyDeleteHave you even thought of the possibility that they will keep us in the dark until tomorrow night and at the end of the show show this evening's comp on the feeds... and even on Showtime? That way, they could tell people to get the 24/7 to watch the endurance play out...
It won't make a difference to us since we may not know the outcome. They have tonight's AD covered and why not do like in previous seasons... block us out for 24 hours. OY? What say you?

Carolyn- In response to your projection that it would not make economic sense to black out the endurance comp on the feeds, aren't they free the last two weeks? I thik it sort of defeats a large purpose of the competition, but I also think there is no way they are spoiling an eviction on the live feeds. The whole thing seems kind of stupid.
And it makes me realize that I made time in my life to follow this shiz, and now there is a void and i forget what I was doing previously.Nothing positive I am sure.
So are you staying up all night on the chance the feeds come back?
Whatever... is fine with me. I just wish they could let us know because I have stuff to do rather than sit here and stare at a monitor.

First the bad news:
According to my contact at CBS, the comp will be blocked in it's entirety.
The Good News:
They said the feeds would come back on after the comp.
Ok dont know if this is true of not so I need someone to confirm for me if it is true.

ReplyDeleteThat is recockulous. Wouldn't the point of blocking the comp (comp blocking?) be to keep the outcome a secret til its aired? But they will unblock the feeds AFTER the comp? Is it me or is that totally illogical?
I have this eerie feeling that I have no idea if my boy, Adam, is alive or dead. This must be what being in the house feels like for three months.

Sharon is so plain,,she just reminds me of an extra that no one ever really notices.

I hope it's Adam and Sheila in the end,,,they were being gunned for from the beginning and everyone always saw them as expendable but never quite got around to it, they have managed to manipulate others and stay in the game, they deserve it.

2. Power of TRUTH - for 24hrs, the winner can demand the truth of various HG vs HG claims and be shown the relevant feeds.
The first would possible hinder an HG's ability to talk themselves out of a corner again. The second would really flush out the facts, but only if the winner asks the right questions!!

I have to think they are going to keep this blacked out til after the outcome is aired on BB California time. Tuesday show would be POV Ceremony and Eviction and beginning of enduranee xomp right? Then Wednesdayw ould e endo of endurane comp and the other two. So that would mean no live feeds til after the conclusion of the Wednesday California show.

Carolyn, go take a quick "weekend" getaway to the keys or something. CBS must have meant that the feeds are coming back after the endurance comp airs (and what about the comps?) No room for ambiguity with the folks, like Roy.

Let's see, it's been over three hours of trivia so it can't be too much longer right? LOL says I. As far as I know the longest comp was something like 6 hours. I'm too brain dead to try and remember specifics.

I can't believe BBAD is the same crap we watched on the live feeds this morning, eventhough that's what we were expecting cause Ryan said they were on showtime earlier, but this is TOTAL CRAP! This is the part of the day I look forward to the most, I actually get to pry away from the computer and watch BBAD, now I have NOTHING to watch! This sucks! And I can't believe they're gonna jip us out of the endurance HOH, that is the best comp of the whole season always! This sux so bad! What a disappointment this season has been, I can't wait till next season!

ReplyDeleteI'd give them the "Power of Seduction" where you can make another player secretly do your bidding for 24 hours, kind of like the power Natalie had over Adam, and Matt had over her.
ReplyDeleteOh, I wanna play the new trivia waiting game, cause this is actually a power that I've always thought should come into play. The power to talk for 1 minute to a randomly drawn viewer and get their advice on who to trust in the game, etc. It's tricky cause if they get someone that hates them, that person could feed them false information, or it could be really good if they get someone that is a fan. So it's a power that could either be good for them or bad, and it's up to them to figure it out.

ReplyDeleteI bet the reason for this blackout has to do with contractual obligations with sponsors who probably pay more for the final episodes on the conidtion that the outcomes aren't spoiled. Even if live feed viewers know and wojuld watch anyway, they might tell their TV only friends who might then skip it.

I know this is a tad off-topic, but here's a few of my ideas about how BB could be improved:
ReplyDelete#1) Have more involvement from the fans-kind of like BB8 except no America's player-just give America choices each week about what happens to the houseguests/stipulations etc.
#2) Also give America a vote each week for who gets evicted, as well as a jury vote (they would have to add 1 more person to sequester of course to keep the votes an odd number)
#3) no more backdooring-from the beginning to end of the season, let EVERYONE play for POV.
#4) let the outgoing HOH compete in the next HOH. If the other houseguests can't beat that 1 person, too bad...
I really like the ideas of "Power of slop" and "Power of silence" from julissa and cheers from montreal.
How about "Power of immunity" for a houseguest who doesn't win HOH in particular week? This would guarantee him/her safety from being nominated for that week by the HOH.
How about Power of Isolation: The winner gets to isolate a houseguest of their choosing from the rest of the house for a 24 hour period. That way the chosen person cannot scheme, and has no idea what's going on in the house during that time.

And why do I want to pay for Showtime for the morning crap they're showing now that I already SAW!!!! Like people say its not like we aren't going to be able to figure out what happened why deprive us of the entire endurance, they are the best parts of BB. I mean what are we going to see 3 minutes of what lasted several hours. This really BITES!!!

ReplyDeleteThe longest BB endurance competition was on BB6 called the "Pressure Cooker" -HG had to stand and press a button. It lasted 14 hours and all competing lasted at least six hours. According to Wikipedia... I recall sitting at work the next day watching the drama unfold.
I am not sure I can hold on that long....I am vexed about the lack of comp on the feeds... wondering why bother paying for the feeds? I love the endurance comps!!! So vexed!!!
Just a thought here... As I said before Adam made the comment that he could/would last at least 3 hours. Speculating that they are taping someone's exit for tomorrow night, they would not begin the comp until just before 7BBT so 3 hours would be around 10BBT. Hopefully, the feeds will be back around that time? I Hope!

ReplyDeleteI can't decide. Do I stay up for another 2 or 3 hours waiting, or do I set my alarm to wake me up in three hours to check the feeds? Adam hasn't lasted two shakes on an endurance. Ryan lasted about three hours but I don't think he could have made it much longer. Sharon did fairly well in the disco ball one, but I think she dropped on purpose for that one, and Sheila made it over three hours for the glass house and I think she could have gone longer. So my prediction is which ever of the girls got to stay is winning the comp and the boys are hanging on for dear life.

What about the power of immediate eviction, you can win it at the beginning of the season but there is only one and can only be used once. Even on an HOH.

ReplyDeleteI suggest they turn the spa room into a padded cell and when someone goes nuts ala Josh they have to go in there for a certain amount of time. I'll call it the "Time Out Room". Inside will be all kinds of things to take out and vent your frustrations, but all completely safe. Like the blow up clown you can beat senseless (if you can beat a blow up clown senseless). Lots of pillows and things you can throw, some kind of "safe" bat to beat things up. Oh ... I just had a grand idea ... put a picture of each HG on one of those beat up clowns and go to town on your HG enemy!
How about this one? Something similar to the mute suggestion mixed with the idea of the slop pass. The STFU card ... play it on the most annoying HG and they have to keep quite for 24 hours or they're automatically evicted.
I'm still wishing they'd do something like the Diamond PoV... you win the veto, take off yourself or your choice from the block and pick the replacement even the HoH ... now that would be interesting. I'll call this idea the Black Pearl PoV.
My last idea / suggestion is no more bibles or religious literature in the BB House! None, zip, nada. Read the cereal and food containers like the rest of the evil doers!
Carolyn... looks like you're going to have to do a part 3.

This show is like crack. I don't even like these people and am not all that entertained by who is left, yet I must have MORE.

ReplyDelete(This would most likely happen once or twice a season) After a HG is evicted, the house chooses one HG that would be isolated in a cage in the backyard till next HOH comp. They would be immune from being evicted, but they would not be involved in the week's gameplay. Slop and water are the only thing that can sustain them. The cage will be soundproof, so they are TRULY alone. The HG's can choose throughout the week to put the HG in the cage through different hardships (stinky cage, no light, no bed, loud alarm goes off every half hour, cage is covered so they can not see what is going outside of the cage, etc.) or rewards (time allowed out of the cage, comfy bed, pictures/letter from home, good food, cage can allow people to interact with secluded HG, etc.). Every time they give the HG a hardship, BB will, unknowing to the HGs, give the secluded HG a help on the upcoming HoH comp.
I put a lot of thought into this, lol.

I was just thinking how if the feeds were blocked until tomorrow's show, we would miss out on all the conversation surrounding the outcome of the veto ceremony. If Sheila did stay, I want to see shat she says to Adam - if they are able to talk without Ryan around, that is. I would like to finally know what Adam is REALLY thinking and what he is REALLY up to as far as final 2 is concerned!
By the way the guys were talking before the trivia went up, it sounds like the length of the competition could depend solely on how long the remaining lady lasts...
I too am totally peeved but showtime being pre-taped and the blackout on the live feeds, knowing before the shows and seeing the whole competions are what we pay good money for right?
ReplyDeleteI was thinking though instead of awarding the 500g to one of the remaining house guests, I think it should go to the guineas and whoever takes care of them after the show. I mean those two animals have had to be stuck in that house for three months, listen to all the bitching, whining, moaning, backstabbing, bullying.... and not even get to compete in any competition. If they give the money to who really "deserves" it I would votes for those two poor guineas!!!

I unfortunately agree with those who are toying with the idea that there's going to be a complete blackout until after tomorrow's show. What would be the point in turning the feeds back on after the comp when they could be showing it now? Either way people would know the results... which they apparently don't want... so this just sucks.

Normally, the television show sets the stage for the viewer to continue to catch events on the live feeds. Why couldn’t the exec. producer / CBS slotted a special night for the start to last HOH comp? Oh, I forgot ad revenue has been already committed to other “more important” shows on CBS that have just come back from post writer's strike production.

The Power of Reverse...you win a special contest...much like a luxury competition. Once you win the Power of Reverse...you can then reverse everything that happens in the house for the next week. So if you are last in the HOH competition...you can use the Power of Reverse and become the HOH. Your ally is evicted by a score of 4-2 say...reverse that vote and your enemy is voted out instead. It would make everyone have to be very careful about everything they do for that week...because you ultimately have the power to Reverse every decision everyone makes.

ReplyDeleteMy friend Jim is heading to LA in less then 2 weeks for his BB10 interview. I guess that is what you call it.
He passed through the application process and the video process.
I have my fingers crossed for him as it would be awesome to know one of the cast...as long as they don't drag me on the set! LOL! Come to think of it he was my date for the prom. :)
I will let you know anything else I find out.

(Sorry about the caps~ not yelling at you!) I mean, why can't we watch the comp now, come morning we'll know who was evicted and who is the new HOH anyway!

I think this may have something to do with why they blacked out the comp this year. Doesn't look like watching BB on CBS TV is as popular as watching blogs and live feeds. I even find BBAD boring now that I have live feed. I get the same at 9pm on live feeds in Arizona than waiting up til midnight for BBAD. I get better stuff watching live feed at midnight.
Bet Grodener made the blackout decision after hearing the results of the poll.

I have decided to play music according to how BB is making me feel right now lol. I think I will start with Love Hurts by Nazareth, Unbreak my heart by Taylor Dayne, For whom the bell tolls by Metallica dedicated for the evictee lol. The final count down by Europe, What hurts the most by Rascal Flatts,Please remember me for all that are in the Jury house, You lie by Reba and I am still building the list. The live feeds won't return until after the "live" show tomorrow. BB has done this before. Season 6 jumps to mind, when Janelle won HOH and evicted Jennifer in the short HOH week, the set-up was like this and the feeds were blocked until after the show aired the next day. May as well get some sleep folks :)

I was going to ask if they've done this in previous seasons during any of final endurance comps. From what I've been able to find so far they haven't. Sounds like Sunshine may be onto something in regards to the poll and live feed viewers.

ReplyDeleteNo disrespect to Sunshine but it seems to me that that poll is heavily biased. I would venture that eight six percent of the people who go to Housecalls ARE live feeders.
